I am perplexed when faced with these testimonies. I was born in Italy and there are far too many similar claims. Most of them are only reported within the close community. It often happens in Catholic countries to have friends who had accidents, were pronounced "clinically dead" then woke up, reporting such an encounter, seeing what they described " a great white light". I met Latin American, Spanish and Filipino people in London who came across it too. I heard people claiming to "feel" the Hand of God saving them from fatal falls as well, maybe the hand of an Angel truly held them back.Thinking about Luke 16:31, the parable of the rich man and Lazarus, I suppose the Bible gives all the information we need to know about being cast out of God's Presence. Actually I'm scared that if I was feeding these claims, they could turn against me, even though there is nothing allegedly wrong with it. I read in a handbook that even when we are "clinically dead" we are still able to hear, sometimes noises can trigger dream-like visions in our minds and we dream about what we know and do every day; so in believers it can happen. In a dream my deceased grandmother told me the right to die is wrong, but I was aware of it, I already had the foreknowledge. I am still skeptical about these tales.
