How should Christians react when a civil restriction seeks to stop us from sharing Jesus Christ?
No one can share Jesus Christ without it offending other religions or non-religious people. If only one person complains, we have to compromise, if my cross offends them I must hide it, If my Bible offends them, I must not let it be seen or heard. If I sing a praise song to my Lord, and someone hears it, I must stop. But I live by the promptings of the Holy Spirit. And Jesus said as he was rising, Go into all the world and preach the good news. So how are we to react?

The Bible says that we are the light of the World. We fight (Ephesians 6:12) against darkness and use our full Armor of God (Ephesians 12 13-17. If a civil restriction is imposed on Christians, it violates what we are taught to do. If there is a contradiction between God 's Word and the word of men, then we follow God's word. The Holy Spirit that lives in you will guide you and God will protect you according to His Will. God is in control of all things and if we follow His Word, we will be in His Will. God does not change and what he taught His Diciples is also true with us. You will know what the Holy Spirit wants you to do and share Jesus Christ with the Lost. Jesus died so we can have eternal life, so if we know this, we should boldly spread Good News so that others may also be Saved, No one will ever extinguish the Light that we speak through the Holy Spirit.

In my business all my email signatures and paper work had "In God I Trust". I sold the business but stayed on as General Manager. I was asked to remove the term "In God I Trust" from all email signatures and paper work. I struggled with this, prayed and God answered my prayer with Matthew 22:21 Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.”

As Christians, we are commended to witness and take the Gospel to all creation: Mark 16:15 However, we should also be respectful and mindful that others might not be interested in our faith. Actually Matthew 22:14 tells us that most of the people will reject Jesus, and we shouldn’t be discouraged or take it personal. If someone is not interested in our witnessing, we should pray for them and also follow Jesus instructions in Matthew 10:14 No one is going to be saved by forcing them to listen to our message. Personally I do all my singing, praying and praising in church or in the privacy of my home Matthew 6:6 Outside of my home I try to be respectful of civil laws, rules of conduct and business practices. Most employers have the expectation and right to ask its employees to act according with the institution dress code and other conduct requirements. If witnessing to customers or coworkers is not allowed or discouraged during business hours, we should be respectful of that; otherwise we might witness ourselves out of a job. The Bible teaches us to be respectful of authorities, that would include our employers Romans 13 Hebrews 13:17 Titus 3:1 We should be kind, patient and loving towards others and by that attitude the world will see that we are different and would want to know the Lord also. A loving heart is the most effective witnessing we can do, more powerful than any cross we might wear or any Bible we might wave.

If I'm told to refrain from any witness about The Lord and that directive is of a civil nature, I see no need to proceed.The Believer who is offended when his witness is shunned or rejected might be actually fighting his own personal battle. The King's heart is in the hand of the Lord, like the rivers of water; He turns it wherever He wishes Proverbs 21:1. This scripture makes it clear that God is able and that he is keeping watch. If He controls the King's heart and the King's heart is as the mighty rivers, He can certainly handle the guy working with you at the car wash lol. And the part about "sharing Jesus," I "share" or acknowledge my faith in God Through His Son Jesus but Jesus is not mine to "share." I'm His to command, I follow His leading by The Holy Spirit He sent to teach and guide me for to do His purpose John 14:16,17, 26. The prophet Balaam was hired by Moab to curse Israel after God's people camped in the plains of Moab Numbers 22. They were afraid because they saw what Israel had done to the Amorites. God told Balaam to turn the job down but Balaam chose to accept the money and go anyway. Angered by his disobedience, God sent the Angel of The Lord to "stand in the way as an adversary" Numbers 22:22 The donkey he was riding saw the Angel and His drawn sword, but Balaam couldn't see Him. The donkey turned to go another way 3 times and was struck by the prophet 3 times. Then God opened the animal's mouth and the donkey spoke to Balaam. Instead of being flabbergasted the prophet holds a conversation with the donkey. But the donkey never mentions the Angel, the danger he kept the prophet from.The Lord had to open the prophet's eyes before he saw the Angel, the danger. Why not just let the Angel either be seen or perhaps talk the prophet down from his "high horse"? God has to open the eyes of the persons we wish to steer clear of the danger they face for going against the leading of The Lord to salvation. We are only "donkeys" allowed to speak on the Lord's behalf.
