The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,
Now when the congregation was broken up, many of the Jews and religious proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.
And this did she * many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.
And the word of the Lord was published throughout all the region.

And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
For I have not * shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.
Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.
But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord's brother.
And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.
And the night following the Lord stood by him, and said, Be of good cheer, Paul: for as thou hast testified of me in Jerusalem, so must thou bear witness also at Rome.
And when they agreed not * among themselves, they departed, after that Paul had spoken one word *, Well spake the Holy Ghost by Esaias the prophet unto our fathers,
But Paul said, I am * a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
Then Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, Men of Israel, and ye that fear God, give audience.
