We live in a physical world with its four known space-time dimensions of length, width, height (or depth) and time. However, God dwells in a different dimension-the spirit realm-beyond the percepti...

Consider the opening words of Genesis "In the beginning God created" everything known and yet to be known in a perfect interdependent balance. He is stating that whenever and wherever it was, that the beginning began, He was already present actively orchestrating the creation. This tells us the Creator Himself is outside of what we refer to as time a physical property and scripture also states this in Isaiah 46:10 The field of particle physics has totally altered our conceptions of reality. Scientists now tell us that the universe is a digital simulation within a much larger reality and consists of at least ten dimensions Four of which we know and experience at present with our feeble technologies are what we call miracles a transfer of matter from another unseen dimension into our own.?.....Genesis 21:19, Numbers 22:31 2Kings 6:17-20 Some investigators believe that much of what we call paranormal phenomena is simply trans dimensional episodes within that larger reality. "People like us, who believe in physics, know that the distinction between the past, the present, and the future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion"............ I would like to add this to the above answers with which I fully agree. Even 'time' as we know it was never linear in scale. Most primitive tribes considered time as a cyclical event as the reality they interacted with were recurring e.g. seasons, time as measured by each day by the rise of the sun, months in moon cycles and so on. In fact many Red Indians used to refer to time as 'many moons ago'. Each time cycle can be considered as concentric circles, a circle embedded within the next larger circles etc. Each morning, mid day, evening, night contributing to the completion of the inner cycle and several loops around this creating the moon cycle and several of those creating the next outer cycle of a season and going through a set of seasons before creating the next outer circle (roughly an year cycle) and so on. In their own ways they recognized that these were created by a superior being beyond them and being primitive, they assigned the existence of this being to those symbols outside. That is why they worshiped the Sun or the Moon God whilst others used earthly icons (idols) e.g. goats. God sent prophets through out history to make us focus on HIM and not on idols. As we progressed in Science we started to become linear in our time measurements and it is nice to see at last science uncovering its linear thinking is not relevant to our understanding of the beginning of a creator. Richard Dawkin, the author of God Delusion, did not understand this and that is why asked 'If God created the universe, who created God' using human logic! Albert Einstein was one of those great scientists who recognized the relativity principle and acknowledge the presence of a being superior to all of us. Lord Rees, the President of the British Royal Society, the most prestigious Science Society, a few years ago talked about our attempt to understand the origins of the universe with our existing knowledge is like a gold fish in a tank trying to work out the logic of the arrangements outside the tank in which it swims! To understand the creator's space-time, as Michael Houdmann has clearly illustrated, is like a gold fish attempting to attribute characteristics to the creator of the tank and the one who put it in the tank using its own logic. That is why the Bible is such a treasure house i.e. In the beginning was the word (John 1:1).
God does relate to time (time-space, since time was created by God stretching out our universe to make space). It's a bit like seeing the 4th July parade passing from the viewpoint of someone on the ground takes time, but seen from an air ballloon you can see the whole thing from beginning to end. All it takes is that extra dimension. And God has infinite dimensions, whereas space-time has a beginning and an end.
My easiest way of how God perceives time is how it is explained in the Bible: 2 Peter 3:8 But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. I can grab that concept and truly understand it.
...Two realities impress upon the human being the perception of time: The first is our individual circadian rhythms; the second is the rotation of heavenly bodies. With the Earth spinning on its axis, causing the division of night and day, along with our "body clock" winding down, transporting us through sleep to another day, we are convinced that time is real. As the planet revolves around the sun, we judge "time" by length of the journey--one year. But, in a way, time is not real at all, but a mere temporal manifestation. We like to think in a linear fashion, time like a straight line, from a definite beginning (such as a birth) until the course runs out (such as death). But in the universal/cosmic sense, "time" is truly the symbol of the 0; no beginning, no end, but a perpetual reality of the infinite nature of of God. When we meet the Lord in eternity, it would not be surprising to learn that not only has God always existed, but He has always created living worlds! What utter magnificence!
This subject is one that I would like to submit a response in a 'simplistic way' that highlights what God's eternal Word says within the book of Genesis and other scriptures. "In the beginning, GOD created the heavens and the earth". He also tells us in scripture "He created all things that can be seen and not seen; everything that is or was, He created!" He also tells us His name is "I AM" --(God is everlasting to everlasting). It is very hard for us created humans to grasp or understand this truth or factual concept with our 'extremely limited brains', but it is still the truth and understanding we should continually seek in our pursuit to "truly know God". God, 'in three persons: God, the Father; God, the Son; and God, the Holy Spirit!...has always existed! God, in three persons has always existed, even outside the realm of "TIME"--Of which GOD Himself created! 'He is the Great..."I AM"! --Andy--
God does not have a relationship with time for it does not exsist for Him. God is beyond time for He is in the beginning and the end of time because God was there before time and is there after time. We cannot comprehend the greatness of God and no words to describe it. God said it best when He said "I AM".
The above answers far surpass what I have to say but I think my simple view may help some relate. I look at time like a gigantic roller coaster. We can only see the part of the ride we are currently on. We can also remember the past but really have no idea what the future will be. The big difference is that God can see the entire roller coaster. He can see not just remember the past as well as the present and the future. Just a tool I use to help me understand God's time and certainly not from the Bible other than the concept of seeing and knowing all.
