Good question! Aging or growing old is NOT something to worry about. The LORD Jesus said, 25 "Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?" (Luke 12:25-26) Now, in the Greek text of Luke 12:26, the word "since" is conditional. According to the Net Bible it is a first class condition. There are 4 classes of conditional sentences in the Greek New Testament, the first of which is called the First Class Condition -- First Class ‘Simple Condition’ – ‘Presumed True for the Sake of Argument’ --Assumes the reality of premise for the sake of argument, whether actually true or not. Jesus was presenting his case that since you cannot do the very little thing of adding just 1 hour to your life, why worry about anything more? I assume that He meant a whole lot more, maybe everything. But at least He was telling us that worrying about adding to our life even just a little time is impossible. In fact, in my opinion, worrying about how we can or will live longer most probably shortens our life. Facts, I think, will bear me out on this point.
