Is it okay to give up hope that things will get better?

Christians are supposed to have faith in God, and that God's will will be carried out. But since we do not know whether that will be good or bad for us in our life on earth, is it okay to give up hope of being happy on earth?

I humbly submit that if your hope and happiness is externally based upon the corrupt Babylonian system, friend much of your short stage time (life) will be spent unhappy.
2 Corinthians 4:4; Luke 12:21; Matthew 13:21

Spirit powered joy and happiness should be internal and is fueled by your faith and hope that regardless of what daily tribulation may appear, somehow it will be worked to benefit us and give Him the glory. For our faith and hope is in Christ and His promises, exactly 180 degrees opposite the values of this hopelessly deceptive temporal world.
Mark 10:27; Ephesians 2:20; 2 Corinthians 3:12

And during our midnight at noon battles, He is at our side with us in that lonely valley, and whether we live or die is gain, for as warrior servants we will do either very well.
Mark 9:49; 2 Corinthians 4:1; Psalms 91:1

Bottom line, for believers life in this corrupted system is as bad as it will ever be, now consider one missed breath and we'll step into eternity and someone else can worry about that tall grass, for we are but a vapor. Luke 12:4; Ephesians 2:6

In the Lord's freedom and boundless joy always.....................warrior on
