As Christians we are to be examples for others, so we set the examples on how we as Christians are to behave. One of the best things that worked for me was to tell the person I would pray for them. This stopped the bad behavior instantly. Another thing is to ask them if this how they would like to be treated. A lot of times you will find they don't even realize they are behaving poorly. GOD bless.

There generally 2 responses to violence - fight or flight. Jesus proposes a third option - to turn the other cheek. 

Jesus doesn't us to fight violence with violence, nor does he want us to cowardly acquiesce. He gives the command to turn the other cheek - to mirror to the oppressor his own violence as to trigger a shift of moral perspective. By turning the other cheek, the victim tells the oppressor, "You will not strike me in the same manner again."

One day Mother Teresa went to a local bakery to ask for bread for the starving children in the orphanage. The baker, outraged at people begging for bread from him, spat in her face and refused. Mother Teresa calmly took out her handkerchief, wiped the spit from her face and said to the baker, "Okay, that was for me. Now what about the bread for the orphans?"
The baker, shamed by her response, gave her the bread she wanted.

Great question, first and foremost as Christians we are God's ambassadors in a foreign (Babylonian run system) in this hostile environment, our duty is to represent that kingdom boldly. For the captives within this system our ways and language are odd, translating 180 degrees opposite (example, truth means nothing) any kingdom knowledge, is what the dark powers permit plus what they might see us do or say. Eph 2:2; 2 Cor 11:14

Now this unwelcoming and deceptive secular system works daily to contain our labors for Christ with a doctrine of if you're a Christian you somehow are a lesser citizen within this realm, and the freedoms and liberties granted by your God are limited here. These misconceptions have even become false doctrine within some denominations of the body expressed as follows "in this Babylonian system Christians" don't vote, hold office, and any law enforcement or military service is not permitted (secular view and hymn book).

Question, following this doctrine logically, who when is left to serve within the corrupt system and how is this model currently working out around the realm for our brethren, do you really think they'll get justice from it? Habakkuk 1:4
Did not God use the original Babylonian and Egyptian systems to bring forth His servants Moses, Joseph and Nehemiah to do His work, within the very heart of corruption, as they stood righteously for His kingdom, boldly and uncompromising glorifying Him! Galatians 4:16; Hosea 4:6; Matthew 22:29

The Lord stood face to face with the powers of darkness in addressing and stopping their demonic advance on all fronts, this was done within the public square so that all could see and hear the power and glory of the kingdom. The only time He submitted in anyway, was to follow the Father's plan in purchasing our freedoms and liberties on the cross! Zechariah 3:2; Mark 15:39

What I advocate is standing on the cornerstone and defending these complete freedoms and liberties as granted addressing and taking on all in the public square, with and in the love that they were purchased with, nothing more and nothing less. 1 Corinthians 16:13

Now I may well give you my coat if asked friend, but if you were to try and take it, then you become an adversity and we would quickly move into a teachable kingdom moment, from which you may chose in the future to politely let my weaker brethren pass undisturbed.Haggai 1:5; Zechariah 4:6; Isaiah 61:1

Bottom line, in this world the respect and honor due a lady will not be delivered, until she makes it very clear that she will not accept anything less to everyone, now in the same way brethren we are a royal priesthood should we accept anything less than that is due us! 2 Corinthians 11:20

My Opinion is: We are allowed to take a stand if we feel we are treated unjustly. Don't allow anyone to treat you badly; but don't retaliate!
Jesus showed us ways to treat injustice; When you are truthful, they have no stand against you, when you are loving, they have no stand against you, when you are kind and gentle, having self control, and can walk away in peace knowing there is nothing the accuser has against you, you leave them standing in shame for treating you badly.

That's walking in shadow of Jesus Christ, in my opinion.

Yes we are! We are suppose to be Christ like, and if we are Christ like then we're supposed to do as Christ did and act just as Christ did. By committing ourselves to Christ were going to be mistreated, abused, disliked, talked about and tried. Our Father Jehovah will fight our battles, all we have to do is be still and stay loyal to the Lord and he'll do the rest.
