What does the Bible say about abortion in extreme medical cases?

For example: 99% mortality rate for the child, severe deformities, health risk to the mother, etc.

Abortion is abortion... It's murder no matter the case. That's where you either trust God that you, the baby, ect... are in his hands. Proverbs 30:5 says, "Every word of God is pure He is a shield unto them that put their trust in Him."

I'll need to write a full answer for this eventually, but the idea that abortion is ever needed - even in extreme medical cases - is mostly myth. The cases of an actual abortion being needed to treat the mother are so rate, most abortion doctors would never see one in their lifetime.

This is because "abortion" is not merely inducing labor or removing the child, but killing the child in the womb (which actually causes a small risk to the mother.) Nor is abortion medical treatment of any kind.

Most cases of the mother's health being in danger (and perhaps all cases) can be dealt with in a few different ways, none of which require abortion:

- inducing labor early or performing a C-section (such as if the mother is allergic to the child)
- treating the mother, even though there may be some risk to the child
- in rare cases, such as ectopic pregnancy, direct removal of the child
- going on complete bed rest and heightened care in hopes both mother and child will pull through

Conversely, killing the baby while in the womb is not going to 'help' the mother, and will only deliberately and directly take a life.
