Why does it seem God was so much more personally interactive with humans in the Old and New Testament than He is today?

We are, right now, entering a time when, as Joel puts it in 3:28-29:

"And it shall come to pass afterward,
that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy,
your old men shall dream dreams,
and your young men shall see visions.
Even upon the menservants and maidservants in those days, I will pour out My Spirit.

I suggest you do 2 things:
1. Claim these verses as your own and start living them by the Power He gives you as He teaches you obedience to His Word.
2. Ask The Lord to lead you to a house church or fellowship where He is personally interactive, giving the gifts He bestows on each for the building up of each other in His agape love!
