Many Old Testament scriptures refer to the coming Messiah and have been specifically fulfilled in Jesus. The exact number varies based on how one determines what constitutes a reference, with some scholars counting more than 400. The Messiah would be the seed/offspring of a woman and would crush the head of Satan (Genesis 3:15). While Matthew’s genealogy showed why Yeshua could not be king if he really were Joseph’s son, Luke’s genealogy shows why Yeshua could be king. When he returns, he will be king. He would come from the seed/offspring of Abraham and would bless all the nations on earth (Genesis 12:3). He would be born in Bethlehem of Judah (Micah 5:2). I.e. the exact location of His birth was foretold. He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14). While Matthew’s genealogy showed why Yeshua could not be king if he really were Joseph’s son, Luke’s genealogy shows why Yeshua could be king. When he returns, he will be king. Many rabbinic objections to the messiahship of Jesus are based on his genealogy. The argument goes, “Since Jesus was not a descendant of David through his father, he cannot be Messiah and King.” But the Messiah was supposed to be different. As early as Genesis 3:15, it was proposed that the Messiah would be reckoned after the “seed of the woman,” although this went contrary to the biblical norm. The necessity for this exception to the rule became apparent when Isaiah 7:14 prophesied that the Messiah would be born of a virgin: “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call his name Immanuel.” Whereas all others receive their humanity from both father and mother, the Messiah would receive his humanity entirely from his mother. Whereas Jewish nationality and tribal identity were normally determined by the father, with the Messiah it would be different. Since he was to have no human father, his nationality and his tribal identity would come entirely from his mother. True, this is contrary to the norm, but so is a virgin birth. With the Messiah, things would be different. Isaiah 7:14 refers to a child who will be born of a virgin and will be called Immanuel, a name meaning "God with us." The verse reads, "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign. Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." Isaiah 9:6 likewise predicts: "For to us a child is born, to us, a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Fulfillment – Herod’s cruel scheme to kill Jesus didn’t work, so he maliciously ordered that all baby boys living near Bethlehem, 2 years old and younger, be put to death. “When Herod realized that he had been outwitted by the Magi, he was furious, and he gave orders to kill all the boys in Bethlehem and its vicinity who were two years old and under, in accordance with the time he had learned from the Magi. Then what was said through the prophet Jeremiah was fulfilled” (Matthew 2:16).

In the Bible, the prophet Daniel received a prophecy that reveals in a very detailed and amazing way the exact time of the coming of the Messiah. Since the 70th year of Exile was drawing close, and Israel was still in Babylon, Daniel feared that God had decided to prolong the Exile due to their sins. Responding to his prayer God sends the angel Gabriel with an answer. “Seventy weeks are decreed about your people and your holy city, to finish the transgression, to put an end to sin, and to atone for iniquity, to bring in everlasting righteousness, to seal both vision and prophet, and to anoint a most holy place. "Know therefore and understand that from the going out of the word to restore and build Jerusalem to the coming of the Messiah the Prince there shall be seven weeks. Then for sixty-two weeks it shall be built again with streets and a trench, but in a troubled time. And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. "And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.” (Daniel 9:24-26) The physical exile of the people of Israel from the land of Israel was always connected to the spiritual exile of Israel from the God of Israel. The angel Gabriel confirms Daniel’s fears: the people of Israel, deeply involved with idol worship, will stay in exile. But next to the bad news the angel Gabriel also announces good news, the hope for a Messiah. When will that happen? 7 weeks and 62 weeks In other words: another 483 years. By the way, the division between these times is connected to the command to rebuild and the actual rebuilding of Jerusalem. These 483 years start, according to the angel Gabriel, with the command to rebuild Jerusalem. And indeed, in the year 445 BC the King of Persia, Artaxerxes, gives Nehemiah the required order to rebuild Jerusalem and the temple. (Nehemiah 2:1-8) Therefore, according to the prophecy in Daniel 490 years after the year 445 BC the Messiah will come. According to the book of Daniel the Messiah has to appear no later than 483 years after the year 445 BC. We need to remember that during the time of the Scripture one year equalled 360 days. Thus, 483 years after the issuing of Artaxerxes’ command, we get right to the year 32 AD. Moreover, in verse 26 Gabriel points out that “...the anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing.” The term “cut off” describes the death penalty. The Messiah must die a violent death. If earlier he was described as “Messiah Prince”, i.e. “Messiah King”, now he is described as a Messiah who has nothing. That means the royal status that he deserves will be taken from him. Instead of a golden crown, a crown of thorns. Instead of the glory of a King, unprecedented humiliation. Instead of ruling, he will be despised as a tortured slave. After these events, the Angel Gabriel points out that: “The city and the sanctuary will be destroyed.” (Daniel 9:27) This means that the city of Jerusalem and the temple will be demolished. And indeed, after the Messiah was humiliated, beaten and cut off, in the year 70 AD, the inhabitants of Jerusalem and the temple were humiliated and beaten, and the temple was destroyed. To sum it up: According to the prophecy in Daniel 9, the coming and the violent death of the Messiah King is calculated to the year 32 AD – before the destruction of the temple. The Messiah King had to be rejected, to suffer and to die because of our sins. The death of the Messiah King was a sacrifice and atoned for us. -Excerpt from One For Israel's website.

The word has so many clues about many things contained in it. One of those is regarding the coming of the Messiah. Many say that the word does not give us an exact day, but let's us peruse at those clues. Why did Herod order the killing of "all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise man”? 1st clue. He orders to kill "children"; the word used for children is G3816 = a young man and not a recently born baby. 2nd clue. "…and in all the coasts," not only in Bethlehem, but all over the land of Palestine. 3rd clue. "…from two years old," meaning that Jesus (Isho's Aramaic name) was probably two years old or younger. 4th clue. Why the above? The wise man told him the date of their vision that should have happened about 2 years prior. 5th clue. Mattew 2:19: "But when Herod was dead…" History tells us that Herod the Great died closely after this event in the year 4 BC. So if Jesus was probably not older than 2 years, Jesus should have been born in 6 BC. 6th clue. The celebration of Yom Kippur as commanded by the word on Leviticus 23:27: "Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of "atonement"... holy convocation... afflict your souls... The activities to be conducted on this day can be found at Leviticus 16, a day called "The Day of Atonement.” This clue shows that the Lord (Hayâ from Exodus 3:14 = "I Am That I Am") picked His lamb as coom and Ed to do it on the 10th of the 1st month (Exodus 12:3), but this lamb was a special one to be picked on another special date after announcing His coming with the sound of trumpets on the 1st day of the 7th month, found in Leviticus 23:24. So the chosen nation has been celebrating the coming of the Savior since it was commanded at the mount that Moses climbed to receive the Lord's Commandments. Thus, our Savior should have been born on the 10th day of 7th month at exactly the 9th hour, similar to His death at the 9th hour and His resurrection at also the 9th hour. The Triune God is extremely consistent and He does things in threes (three times). Thus, He died when He was 33 1/2 years old, and that year should have been 29 AD by our timing according for Him to have been born on October 1st 6BC according to Hayâ's calendar, and that matter is another answer that will take a few pages to explain whose clues are ALL included in HIS WORD.
