"Cast all your anxiety on God because He cares for you" (1 Pet 5:7)

Satan has found that discouragement is the most effective of all tools he employs against God's people. No saint in the Old or the New Testament could escape this. Otherwise how do you explain Prophet Elijah, a champion on Mount Carmel, becoming the coward of the worst sort the very next day under a juniper tree? It's the experience of men and women of God that they get dumped in discouragement usually following a mountaintop experience with God or a meritorious exploit done for His Kingdom.

Apostle Paul enjoyed abundance of divine revelations. But he was bothered by a thorn in the body. He calls it "a messenger of Satan" sent to beat him (2 Cor 12:7). How he wished he could get rid of it! He didn't casually pray about it but repeatedly "pleaded" with God that this pricking arrow of Satan would be removed from him. Instead of delivering Paul from this problem, God strengthened him to live with it. It was grief no doubt, but by the grace of God the mourning was turned into dancing! (vv 9,10). The devil was defeated again. Instead of burying himself under the heaps of discouragement and depression, Paul bounced up with a hilarious declaration, "When I am weak, then I am strong!"

Life was much simpler for the earlier generations. We are at the zenith of scientific and technological advancement. We now have more gadgets and facilities than ever. But the end result is a life filled with tension and anxiety. Diseases unknown to our forefathers have become common today. Satan uses all these to discourage God's people and depress them. But the Bible, which has answers to our problems of yesterday, today and tomorrow, teaches us to throw all our anxieties on God because He cares for us. Otherwise we will become an easy prey to our adversary the devil who "walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour!" (1 Pet 5:7,8).

Prayer however does not guarantee solution to all problems and deliverance from pain, but it does promise the peace of God which is beyond understanding (Phil 4:6,7). This is the joy of the Lord which becomes your strength to resist Satan steadfastly. The knowledge that every other saint suffers like you is another encouragement (1 Pet 5:9). Worry worry until worry worries you no longer!

Today we are in a better/new covenant with God through the one sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. He said it is finished!

We no longer have to offer goats, lambs as a blood sacrifice. It was finished once and for All.

His word says "do this in memory of me " i.e. to partake of holy communion; which is bread and wine at the Lords table." by discerning the body and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

By this, it simply means Jesus came and took upon Himself all our shame, our sins, our lack, our pains, our diseases etc, etc and set us free. This great exchange happened 2000 years ago on that cross, at Calvary. Just believe and receive his health, his forgiveness, His Holiness and let no condemnation pull you down. As a believer you are free to live under His Grace; freely given!. In Gods kingdom : Faith is the only currency that works!. Just believe and receive from the finished work of the cross.

Lastly exchange all your troubles/ heavy Yoke with His that is easy and light. Its so simple, believe and stay blessed!. AMEN.

I humbly submit that worry and its traveling companion fear, originate and thus are the main (front line) battle weapons deployed by the dark kingdom against human kind.

Isaiah 41:10; Psalms 34:4
The deception is to cause doubt first, then confusion to the point of stopping or freezing you in your tracks, and maybe also those around you (fear in full bloom).

Ephesians 6:10; Ephesians 6:17
Putting on the FULL armor and then tightening the chin strap on the helmet of salvation, causes me to remember the price the Lord paid for my freedom and right standing with God the Father.

I get out of my comfort zone (where self-pity is ready and wants to comfort--blah, blah) to help someone else, thereby occupying both my mind and physical body for a bit of time doing good and being a blessing.

I've found that doing so in my time of tribulations is the best medicine, which brings forth a pure joy of meeting someone else's need (sometimes their silent prayers for help or just company).

Also my own minor problems seem to get so small they matter not; consider that we have the power within us to make mountains into mole hills or mole hills into mountains--our choice, His power. Mark 4:11

Psalms 91:
Next time you get a FEAR package from the dark kingdom, don't accept it, don't open it and then stamp it return to sender: THAT PERSON NO LONGER AT THIS ADDRESS!

In the Lord's freedom there is no fear..................warrior on

Fear, anxiety, depression, and many other of those traits are from Satan. When you accept Jesus as your Savior(born again), know and believe that is the son of God, he lived, taught, died on the cross and rose after 3 days, dying and shedding his blood for us so that we could live by confessing our sins and our sins being wiped clean and the pain he endured was so we can be healed(by his stripes), ask for forgiveness of your sins you are reborn. Your life, demeanor, beliefs, personality and a lot more changes in you, including fear etc. It's not a easy change but you are guided by the Holy Spirit and listen to "small voice" you will be amazed at the changes in your life. You can do anything with God through Christ. And he will never leave not forsake you. God love us and we are his children. He will always love us. He lives up to his promises. It's beyond explanation but if you read the Word and ask for guidance from God thru Jesus Christ, you will get your answer or guidsnce from that 'small voice' of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said to cast all your cares on Him, meaning do what you can do about your problems and surrender the rest to Him. You can even ask others for advice but Jesus should always be left in the loop. Proverbs says there is much wisdon in the counsel of many so seeking advise is advisable. The Lord will perform just what he has advsied. All we have to do is trust and listen. He may speak even through a small child to us as well as family, friends, and Godly brother and sisters. "Just believe" is the key to the kingdom that opens the door to heaven.
