What is the secret place of the most high as described in Psalm 91, verse 1?
Psalm 91:1 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty."

The secret place, is prayer. Also It is where we are to give ourselves of you are called to it in leadership (Acts 6:4). The secret place is a place only you & God communicate privately not to be shown publicly.
Matthew 6:5-7:
1“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.
2“So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

5“And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. I have been walking in a close relationship with the Lord since May of 2000; recently my journey has opened up so many questions about dwelling in the secret place of the most high; I desire more of him and in my search to be closer to God- especially being faced with so many challenges.
Recently I have been challenged with some interesting ones I do not wish to share (see 2 Cor. 11: 25-33, 12:9-10)... If I must boast, I will boast of the things that show my weakness and I refused to get on any medication that would impede my mind and body.
In my search for better health I was advised by my doctor of 10 yrs to change my diet and learn to meditate in order to relieve pain and stress; she advised me to make a lifelong change. Years later my search “referring to the now in 2018,” lead me to the pineal gland. To my amazement I found scriptures like (Matt 6:22, Gen 32:30).
In order for us to hear that "still small voice" of God we must learn to “[dwell] in the secret place of the most high” (Ps 91:1). God did not make a mistake when he created us, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works" (Eph 2:10) this included the strategic placement of the pineal gland and how it works with our bodies when we properly take care of the temple of God [our bodies belong to God the Father] (1 Cor. 6:19-20) furthermore, in Deut. 29:29 he says "The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revealed belong to us and our children forever."
I can go on-and-on in how God wants us to have a deeper and closer relationship with him if we so truly desire it in our hearts as long as we keep ourselves "pure" in a sense. Ask God to give you wisdom every day (James 1:5). There is too much information out there that can be misleading. Even what I wrote can be interpreted "wrong" without the guidance of God through Christ Jesus.
So do your own homework! Ask God and the Holy Spirit to guide you; this [information/ knowledge] is not for everyone, at least not yet! It's in His timing.
I can only share what my personal experience is and what it is doing for me "in the here and now" until the day of the Lord's return.

In my opinion the secret place is the dwelling place with GOD. However, there are no systematic structures one should follow to enter the secret place. One should be led on how to enter there each and every time they come to meet GOD. We serve a spontaneous GOD, hence there is no pattern to follow when we enter the secret place.
