Christians cannot be possessed. True Christian have been sealed by the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4:30 - You were sealed by Him for the day of redemption)... when they first believed and cannot be possessed by demons. See 2 Cor 6 "What harmony has Christ with Belial, or what has a believer in common with an unbeliever? Or what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; just as God said, “I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people”.

That is not to say that demons won't bother Christians, but they have no real power over us. In fact, we can command them. Mark 16:17, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; Acts 16:18, Paul said "I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her".

We are in a spiritual war, and what Satan wants more than anything is to lessen our ability to spread the Gospel, to destroy our testimony. Whenever we put our heads up, we will take shots. But he has already been defeated at the Cross. Don't let him take any ground.

Those who are not true Christians, not having been sealed by the Holy Spirit, can be possessed by demons. I doubt it is like the exorcist movie, but there is plenty of Scriptural evidence of what it is like to be possessed. See Mark 1:23, 3:22, 5:9, Luke 5:33 and 8:2 to name a few.
