Who are the people standing on the sea of glass in Revelations 15?

Rev. 15: 2 And I saw something like a sea of glass mixed with fire, and those who had been victorious [a]over the beast and his image and the number of his name, standing on the sea of glass, holding harps of God. 3 And they *sang the song of Moses, the bond-servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying,

“Great and marvelous are Your works,
O Lord God, the Almighty;
Righteous and true are Your ways,
King of the [b]nations!
4 “Who will not fear, O Lord, and glorify Your name?
For You alone are holy;
For all the nations will come and worship before You,
For Your [c]righteous acts have been revealed.”

Revelation 15:2 - 4

ESV - 2 And I saw what appeared to be a sea of glass mingled with fire - and also those who had conquered the beast and its image and the number of its name, standing beside the sea of glass with harps of God in their hands. 3 And they sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, "Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty! Just and true are your ways, O King of the nations!

" I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire:and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God." - Rev 15:2

It explains the destiny of the martyrs of Jesus during the tribulation (Rev. 15:2- 4).

The idea here seems to be that of the floor of the great throne room of the heavenly temple being made of transparent glass with the appearance of fire or prismatic colors produced by the glory of God. Out of the throne proceed lightnings which would make prismatic colors flash upon the sea of glass like the aurora borealis (northern lights). The glory of God eminating from the light in which He dwells will light the whole city and cause the glittering on the sea of glass (Rev. 21:23; 1Tim. 6:16).

All the redeemed will have harps and sing (Rev. 15:2; 5:8; 14:2). They sing the song of Moses as it was one of triumph over Pharaoh and his armies (Ex. 15:1- 9 cp. Dt. 32). They also sing song of the Lamb which is also one of triumph-- victory over Satan and all enemies of God and man.

The martyrs of Jesus during the tribulation look forward to the Millennium (Isa. 2:2- 4 Zech. 14:16- 21) and the New Earth (Isa. 66:22- 24 Rev. 21:24- 27 22:2- 5).
