Why do so many young Christians lack discernment?

So many young people will believe anything if it is about Jesus, and if one rebukes someone or tells that something is ungodly (a church, action, or even something that is supposed to be Christian), then he is told 'only God can judge' and 'don't judge'. Why do all of my Christian friends like any page on Facebook with the words 'Jesus', 'Bible' or 'God', even if they are full of 'like and share if you love Jesus' and irrelevant verses that are just supposed to make Christianity appealing, sometimes creating a false-Christianity (like the prosperity gospel, but without the money)?

I think the word 'young' could have been omitted in this question and the question would still be just as valid. I understand the context, however.

Someone is addressing the absurdities on Facebook! Young people are more into Facebook than the older herd. But be not deceived, many older Christians are just as easily led astray. For the Christian on Facebook the methods are more simplistic: 'likes and shares.' Something gets shared and liked in great numbers, and it's approved as 'the truth.'

A similar energy is true of a more traditional technique. A great orator who preaches a false gospel and has a voice that can move masses of people to spiritual heights, can preach almost anything and make it stick. Some people will 'share and like' almost anything that person says and does, all because they like the "sound" of what he or she says.

Social media just makes it easier to do. It's akin to the way the moving picture industry had a worldly influence on society, but the invention of the television took it to a new level. You could put tv on and be influenced without having to go out. Now, it was right there in the home.

The influence of social media takes media to an even newer dimension.! The Church learned to "git in where we fit in" on tv. We use it to do our purpose. We do the same with social media. (I'm doing it right now!)

Complaining about the evils of moving pictures didn't work; nor of tv. Neither will complaining about the negative influences ofsocial media.
