According to Vine's expository dictionary: "FIRKIN is a liquid measure (akin to metreo, "to measure"), equivalent to one and a half Roman amphoroe, or about nine gallons, John 2:6."

According to the KJV each water pot held 2-3 firkins or 18-27 gallons.

To quantify that in slightly different terms, that's:

120 - 180 gallons total

OR

605 - 908 bottles of wine

Cheers!
