Christianity began when Christ said to Peter, "on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." (Matthew 16:18)

Since Christ built it, therefore, it is authoritative. "whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." (Matthew 16:19)

Since then, following Christ's mandate, the church went out to "make disciples all nations". (Matthew 28:19) Christ's church is on every country in the planet.
