A Bible scholar is someone who does Bible Criticism, which is the "study and investigation of biblical writings that seeks to make discerning judgments about these writings". If you are overly interested in the Bible (spend A LOT of time reading and studying it in great depth, etc), you can consider yourself a Bible scholar.
