Are the scars on Jesus' body healed now that he is in Heaven?

John 20:27 Then saith he to Thomas, Reach hither thy finger, and behold my hands; and reach hither thy hand, and thrust it into my side: and be not faithless, but believing.

Apparently not! He showed Thomas his scars after he had gone up to the throne of God and returned....

We do not know and I found no biblical answer except all things become new. My belief is that those wounds are a sign of the love Jesus had for us and will remind us of the means [shed blood] by which we were forgiven. I think we will value them greater than the finest jewels.

Colton Burpo's experience ["Heaven is for Real"] may reinforce my thoughts.

The only answer that comes to mind is the 20th chapter of John. Here we have the story of the resurrection of Jesus. In this story Mary is first to see Jesus after the resurrection vs 11- 17. Mary was not allowed to touch Jesus because he had not ascended to the father yet, (taking all who were in paradise with him to Heaven Lk. 23:43; 16:19-26 etc.) After delivering all who were in paradise, Jesus returns to his disciples. Where he calls out Thomas and has him observe/ touch/ examine Jesus wounds Jn. 20:24-27.

This chapter is so rich in so many subjects I hope I was able to stay on topic and provoked you to research the scriptures.

My suggestion would be to look at 1 Corinthians 15:44.
Christ was on earth in a physical body, but I do not believe Christ is in a physical body in heaven nor do I believe we will be either, but there are suggestions that we will know others. We well may know family members, certainly we will recognize God, Christ and I expect we will recognize Moses, Abraham, the Apostles and others.
Also look at Luke 16:22 about the Rich Man and Lazarus. They did recognize one another and our view would indicate they were in the physical, but we don't know that.
I hope this is helpful.

God Bless
