The scripture says all our sins are forgiven and forgotten when we believe and place our faith in Jesus Christ.Read 1 corinthians 15.also there is a good website called Got Questions.org,that I have used for many years.I have had similar problems in the past, if I catch myself getting depressed I get my mind back on the Lord and his word and keep renewing my mind with the word of God.

Quite a few denominations today believe (and teach) that its a sin to be depressed when that is absolutely not true.

Job, David, and Solomon were all depressed and spoke and prayed about it in the OT.

Everyone gets depressed at one time or another and for the church to tell you its wrong only makes it worse. They should be telling you they understand your feelings and pray with you and comfort you.

Most importantly we have the Holy Spirit who groans for us to the Lord when we can't think what to pray, Romans 8:26, and who leads us back to feelings of hopefulness and completion in the Lord Jesus Christ.

It's not a sin to be depressed, it is a human condition, and with prayer, supportive fellowship, and the love of the Spirit it will pass and you'll be stronger for having experienced it and overcome it.

The belief that it is wrong or sinful for a Christian to experience fear and depression is not at all biblical. Read the Psalms of David. This man often suffered from both fear and depression. Scripture encourages us over and over to not be afraid. But it is just that, an encouragement. It is not condemnation. "Fear not for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10.

If God did not allow for the reality that in our humanity we would experience these emotions, He would not have given us so many verses of scripture to help us overcome them. Deuteronomy 31:8.

Remember, "God has not given us a spirit of fear." 2 Timothy 1:7. He is our helper in what ever situation we find ourselves in. Hebrews 13:6. It is so important to immerse ourselves in the word of God and allow its truth to dictate our thoughts and heal our emotions. As Christians we need to come along side our hurting brothers and sisters with truthful words of encouragement, and not suggest that their feelings indicate a lack of faith. I will keep you in my prayers.
