Yes, indeed! Quite a few times, in fact.

We see "theophanies" or "Christophanies" wherever you see the phrase, "The angel of The Lord." Not an angel, but THE angel.

You can tell this refers to Jesus, because of what this "angel" says. He makes promises that only God could do, using the phrase, "I will..."

For instance, Hagar the Egyptian maid of Sarah sees Jesus in Genesis 16. In verse 10, this angel says "I will greatly multiply your descendants..." No angel would say that.

Also, if the "angel" accepts worship, this is Jesus. No angel of God permits men to worship him. (Rev 22:8-9)

Jesus appears to Abraham numerous times, to Joshua as the Commander of the Lord's army, to Samson's mother, to the 3 Jewish men in Nebuchnezzar's furnace, just to name a few.

The only one I can claim was Jesus was in the Book of Daniel:

"And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace. Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished; and he rose in haste and spoke, saying to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the midst of the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” “Look!” he answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the SON OF GOD.” (Daniel 3:23-25 NKJV)

Yes, Christ did appear in the Old Testament in at least 7 places:

Abraham (Genesis 18, especially Genesis 18:13) as also mentioned by Jennifer Henkel Bible/History Middle School Teacher, Lover of the OT!

Jacob (Genesis 32:24-30)

Gideon (Judges 6:11-24)

Hagar (Genesis 16:7-13) and as also mentioned by Jennifer Henkel Bible/History Middle School Teacher, Lover of the OT!

Moses (Exodus 3:2-6; compare John 8:58)

Joshua (Josh. 5:13-15; compare this man in Joshua who didn't stop Joshua from worshiping Him as any other servant of the Lord would do (Acts 10:26; 14:15; Rev. 19:10; 22:9 where servants of God stopped other men from worshiping them.
Jennifer said, "if the "angel" accepts worship, this is Jesus. No angel of God permits men to worship him. (Rev 22:8-9)"

Hosea (Hosea 12:3-4)--verses which refer back to Jacob's wrestling with "the Angel" in Genesis 32 (see above).
