Is it bad or sinful to play video games/watch movies? If so, then why?

I believe it can be bad and sinful depending on what type of video games you play or what type of movies you watch... "For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor, not in the passion of lust like the Gentiles who do not know God;" 1 Thessalonians 4:3-5 ESV There are games and movies that show a lot of violence and sexual immorality, things that do not glorify God and then I believe it is bad and sinful in those situations, but there are many creative games and instructional movies that are worth watching, but I believe we should not forget to give our time to God.
