Is sin more powerful than righteousness?

Romans 5:15 But the free gift is not like the trespass. For if many died through one man's trespass, much more have the grace of God and the free gift by the grace of that one man Jesus Christ abounded for many. (ESV)

But we don't choose sin, it lives in everyone and and all are effected by it, not so with grace, we have to choose to accept it. So sin seems to have the upper hand because grace is not so easily found as sin is.

No. But he is more powerful than any human being; thus the need to keep our gaze fixed upon Jesus, the only one who overcame Satan, and the darkness of this world. Satan has the ability to see inside us to know our weaknesses, and can cause us to feel down, or depressed, and so we forget our salvation, our saviour, and ultimately our faith. This is why our faith must be in God alone. He has the ability to encourage us, and show us that since He overcame the world, we too can do it - if we keep reminding ourselves of His testimony, and His promise of the reward that follows the life of faithful service. God is merciful and forgiving if we fail. He wants us to succeed, that is why He is so patient and gives us time to work these things out. I am convinced that we need to be very careful as 1Cor. 10:12 warns that we ought to be cautious to not be overconfident in ourselves. The power of sin is to destroy us; but the power of God is to restore us, even after we've sinned, and the incentive is that He will reward us for our choice to choose righteousness and overcome temptation. Praise be to God.
