In 2008 I went to a funeral of a dear friend. At this funeral I gave a eulogy. That night when I arrived home, I sensed a presence I had never felt before.
It was in my closet, I knew it was not of God, it felt like being exposed to nuclear radiation.This went on for two days. This creature wasn't interested in my wife, but it wanted to be in my presence. I can remember sitting on our bed with our wife, asking her can you feel its presence? My wife couldn't sense anything. Finally I knew this creature had to leave. I talked to the closet and asked who are you?
In the closet a black image materialized, then it started forming a human shape, I left the room went down the hall for a few minutes to regain my composure. When I came back it had formed a face and A body. I pointed at the creature and said" In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to leave." The creature looked up at me when I said Jesus Christ, it recognized the name and fled out the side of the house. I later learned the house had been occupied by a person who practiced witchcraft and abortions out of the house. The house is very old and sits upon a large native camp. I went to school became an ordained Minister.
I now have an internet church out of this house. I suppose no one would believe this in this day and age, except I took two pictures of this creature, which are posted on the church website. One picture shows this creature with hundreds of faces around it, probably its people it has possessed. I have written and preached extensively on this subject. I will simply say this, The name of Jesus Christ, just His name has total control over these creatures. This creature was very powerful, very evil, but is totally defeated when it heard the name of Jesus Christ. I assure you there is massive power in the very name of Jesus Christ.

I think what you refer to is a popular and common perception of a "demon". But really, their primary function is to disrupt the work of the Lord here on earth and, while "Excorcist" or visually disturbing images like you describe could be disturbing, a more effective guise for a demon would be someone or something you like, trust and believe.
I'll give you an example; the very best salespeople I know look and sound very low key and like normal, everyday folks. You'd never pick them out of a crowd a sales person. And that is the point. Your guard is lowered because you don't perceive the threat of being "sold" something. A demon has a much better shot at infiltrating your work for the Lord by appearing in the form of a politician, teacher or even a preacher. How could anyone who used words like "hope", "justice" or "change" possibly lie about that?
Remember, we think in terms of language and that is what governments are in the business of doing; controling thought. If you can control language you can control thought. And just because someone says "Its about the children" does not mean the means to reach then end are not straight from Hell and designed to steer us away from the Lord's purpose.
For that matter, posters on this forum may not necessarily have the purest motivations.If you don't think demons could post something with the intent of creating doubt, you are naive and vulnerable.

I am very glad to see that you shared your experience with others in order to show the power of the name Jesus Christ. I have seen very unusual things happen as a nurse so many times when people die. There are airy, cold, bad vibrations with a presence of evil feelings and fear from the unknown. Many staff came to me one night and expressed their concerns of an incident that happened. Things were moved in a room that were not touched by any personnel caring for this patient and said there was a dark shadow in the room. They were afraid and asked for help. I told them that if they ever have this kind of experience to say "Go away satan in the name of JESUS" and it would have to flee. I went down the hallway to the room and repeated it again before we entered the room and all was gone and patient was unharmed and safe. I said "Never fear when the Lord is with you. He will protect his people that love him."
