Does an unsaved sinner burn in hell forever?
My Catholic Priest says that we will burn in hell forever tormented by flames burning us if we are not good!

If anyone were cast into a lake of fire they would be consumed instantly, would they not?

@ Carroll, I agree with you, that if you're thrown into the lake of fire you are instantly consumed, however the question related to burning forever in HELL which is not the lake of fire. People often get the two mixed up, especially Catholics.

As for me it is not like our earthly bodies thrown in the lake of fire, but it is our spiritual body's new body that will never be consumed.
