Holy means "set apart". Principally, the New Covenant of Jesus does not consider anything Holy except God, Himself and His name (Matthew 6:9) and angels (Luke 9:26)...plus Jesus' Followers (1 Peter 2:9). Jesus, in Old Covenant contexts, refers to the Jewish temple and Law/commandments as set apart, as well. We Followers are Holy, or set apart, because of what Jesus did on our behalves, and Holy Spirit living in us as God's declared, replacement Temple (1 Corinthians 6:19). And a key role of Holy Spirit is to bring to our minds what Jesus said, as we need it, whenever we have the Bible taken from us. (John 14:26) Blessings all!

Dear Dale, the answer to your question is rather long. I will try to summarise it. First, 'holy' simply means 'set apart'. You can consider the following as holy: 1. Our God is Holy. Leviticus 11:44. 2. God's tabernacle is holy (including all its vessels). Deuteronomy 26:19; 1 Kings 8:4 3. Angels are holy. Luke 9:26; Revelation 14:10. 4. God's children are holy. Exodus 22:31; Deuteronomy 7:6; 1 Peter 2:9. 5. The Sabbath is holy. Genesis 2:3. 6. The Torah/Law is holy. Romans 7:12 7. The tithe is holy. Leviticus 27:30-32. In short, I can summarise as follows: The fatal mistake being made by most Christians is to assume that Christianity is an alternative religion which begins with the book of Matthew. Actually, others even go as far to say their relevant Scripture begins with the book of Romans, rejecting even the Synoptic Gospels and Acts as part of the Old Testament. Christianity is a continuation of the same faith lived by heroes like Abel, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Paul, Peter, John and Dorcas - to name but a few. And the source of that faith has always been God, who is holy. Hence what these heroes were told was holy, remains holy to date. What they were told was common, is still common. And what they were told was unclean, is still unclean up to now. We don't have a new god with a new set of requirements. Our God is One. Bless.
