If it was destined in the scripture Jesus was going to die on the cross, why is Judas seen as an evil person?

Judas made a decision to betray his lord and savior for money. It was a conscious choice that he made influenced by Satan as well. When anyone decides to take an anti-God decision they are automatically fair game for Satan to get involved with them detrimentally. Judas had seen Jesus walk away from danger before and probably assumed it would happen again regardless of what he did. He miscalculated terribly and rather than repent for what he had done before God he committed suicide by hanging himself. That God had foreknowledge of this event and inspired old Testament prophets to write about it in now way precludes the fact that Judas had a choice to betray or not to betray Jesus. He freely chose too betray, and in doing so became the son of perdition.

"The Living Bible" presents it as follows in John 13:26-27
Jesus said: It is the one I "honor" by giving the bread dipped in the sauce. As soon as he had eaten it,.....satan entered into him

As I would understand this to mean that Judas was possessed by satan.....only after Jesus allowed it...to fulfill scripture. After being possessed by satan he would be considered "evil" as you say.

Judas did not follow up on his evil deeds (or may not have) until he was commanded to do so by Jesus.

Their is lot of speculation on this subject, but this is just another way to consider. Not to say it is right or wrong, but if you made detailed plans to rob a bank and another person paid you to help them, but you did not carry out the robbery would you be guilty of robbing the bank?

The word "honor" is not included in most versions of the bible, so that creates even more speculation.
