God, according to his sovereign will chose the Jew (one who belonged to the kingdom of Judah) to set his love and affection on them which began with Abraham in Genesis 12.

The best answer I can come up with is, "God simply wanted to."

Jeremiah 31:1 "At the same time, saith the LORD, will I be the God of all the families of Israel, and they shall be my people."
31:2 "Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the sword found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest."
31:3 "The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee."

Isnt the old testament also referred to as the Torah, the Jewish bible? Jesus was a learned Jewish rabbi who attended temple every sabbath, he taught class there. He had graduated schule so was fully educated in jewish faith. All his disciples were jews and his mission was entirely to jews. In John he tells us that by grace the gentiles have been allowed to be grafted in to the Vine of Judeic roots. Judeism is simply the record of a man and his family whom God loved, and revealed Himself through time and generations as they walked with our God. We as Christians are lucky to be included into Gods family

A vast majority of Jews in the first century believed Jesus being the Messiah.

We can accept at the outset that the earliest Christians expanded from its initial base of 120 members. Perhaps the largest single group of converts were the Hellenists Jews. Luke does not supply a number, but there are good historical reasons for believing that the Hellenists were a substantial group. First, there is evidence that the Greek-speaking Hellenists, led by the seven named in Acts 6:5, soon broke away from the Aramaic-speaking wing of the Jerusalem church and formed their own distinctive Christian community. This action suggests that the Hellenists were numerically strong. Secondly and more importantly, we have the evidence of the later missionary activity of the Hellenists following their persecution in Jerusalem. When they fled from Jerusalem, the Hellenists established Christian communities in many locations in the Roman Empire.

We can examine Jerusalem’s population in the first century. Even accepting the upper limit of 120,000 residents, a figure of 10,000 converts in the first few years still represents one twelfth of the city’s population, and 20,000 by the late 50s equals one sixth of Jerusalem’s residents. If these figures even roughly approximate reality, then we should expect such a rapid rate of conversion. The question to pose now is, how much more did the Jerusalem church grow in the next three decades?
