Each of the 7 churches receives counsel from the counselor as each of them had received commendation except one, this church here, Laodicea.
This sole church received no commendation.

My eyesight is most valuable to me! I wear safety glasses at work as required, have had a few close calls with debris flying into one or the other eye and having to use the emergency eyewash station (once we had to delay our family vacation because I had to make an emergency visit to the eye doctor on a Sunday, thinking something had flown into my eye at work during the previous night!) And I also guard against cataracts by putting the visors down in my car on really sunny, bright days. I get a free annual eye exam.

Laodicea was known for its wealth and prided itself on its precious eye ointment that healed many eye problems (Laodicea operated a medical school)--but Christ told them to get medicine from Him to heal their eyes so they could see the truth (John 9:39). Now that's the true Eye Salve!

"War Room" is a good movie (Alex Kendrick & Stephen Kendrick), but so is the book based on it:
WAR ROOM, PRAYER IS A POWERFUL WEAPON, by Chris Fabry. In it he has Miss Clara serve tepid coffee as they talk about Elizabeth selling Clara's house, and Clara uses it like Jesus did in Revelation 3. See pages 86-91 in the novel.
