Which side of Adam was the rib taken to create Eve?

Is there any significance if it was taken from the right side versus the left side?

Interesting question... The Hebrew word for rib is tsay-law and it means curve so when the early interpreters saw this "God took Adams curve?" they must of thought about it a minute than wrote down rib because a rib is curved, but what do we call a strand of DNA?... a Helix curve, and it has been suggested by some that God took a strand of Adams feminine DNA and used it to create Eve, true or not I'll let you decide, I do believe that TRUE science and the bible line-up perfectly .....

Hi Mary. God never makes mistakes, thus whichever side He selected would have been the "right" side. I was attempting to make a play on words. Sorry for the confusion. By the way, today both men and women have 12 pair of ribs. Adam, when he died also had 12 pair of ribs. Ribs regenerate in humans about three to six months following a loss of one or more. David
