Penelope. Again. Prophesy of old was Fore-telling. Prophesy today is Forth-telling. Bringing forth, a word from already revealed Scripture, such as in Preaching, or as words of encouragement in a situation known or unknown to the speaker.

Yes we have apostles in the church today according to Eph..4:12_16 and Paul was the apostle of the church. If we took the scripture more seriously and literally .

I am not a cessationist, but with the Canon being closed, the gifts will nessecarily look and operate differently today than they did when Scripture was being written. Only Jesus could commission the Apostles. For Him to do this today would be equal to Scripture and that's not happening.
