What does it mean that 'by His stripes we are healed'?

1 Peter 2:24

ESV - 24 He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

The word study on Isaiah 53:4 on KJV yield a different answer from other translations like Young's Literal Translation

The study on the H2483 and H4341 would show the KJV committee used an outliner interpretation of choli with 1 griefs vs 20 sickness(s). It did the same of makob with 1 sorrows vs 10 pain(s). While I thank our Lord for KJV for the last 500 years. I have to say only the original languages of the scripture are God breathed.

Surely he hath borne our griefs (choli 2483), and carried our sorrows (makob 4341): yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. (KJV)

Surely our sicknesses he hath borne, And our pains -- he hath carried them, And we -- we have esteemed him plagued, Smitten of God, and afflicted. (Young’s Literal Translation)

He being the sinless Son of God took the punishment for so we could be justified by His one atonement for all sin.

Romans 3:26-28 For He is the just and the justifier of them that believe in Jesus. First John 2:2 And he is the propitiation for our sins and not for ours only, but for the sins of the whole world.

John 14-15 Just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert so shall the Son of Man be lifted up so that anyone who looks upon Him is saved from Hell. John 3:18.

We all deserve to go to hell. Jesus paid the debt and set us free. John 3:18.

No longer under the old law of sin and death. Romans 3:26-28 For He is the just and the justifier of them that believe in Jesus. We have nothing to boast in because we did nothing for it.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that HE gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him, should not perish, but HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE.

When the serpents in the desert were biting the people and they were dying, God told Moses to put a bronze serpent on a pole so that anyone who was bitten would be saved by one look at the serpent on the pole.

So we are saved from Hell by one look at the finished work of Christ so just as He was raised from the dead so shall we be raised from the dead.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, physical death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ one blood sacrifice for all sin to them that believe on His name.

First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

We had a sin debt we could not pay. Jesus paid the debt and set us free. John 3:18.

Romans 11:6 All grace, no works. Romans 4:5-8 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on Him who justifieth the ungodly, his FAITH is counted as righteousness. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord imputeth righteousness apart from works. Blessed is the man whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

We are saved by His life, death, and resurrection. He paid our sin debt in full so we can never be condemned again. John 3:18.

By His stipes we were healed from the penalty of all sin. Sin has no more dominion over us. All our sins are paid for, past, present, and future sins we have not even thought of yet are paid in full by His one blood sacrifice for all sin. John 3:18 and John 3:36
