The most crucial problem with the Roman Catholic Church is its belief that faith alone in Christ is not sufficient for salvation. The Bible clearly and consistently states that receiving Jesus Chri...

According to the scriptures, once a person is saved he or she should show evidence of being saved by obeying God. (Faith without Works is dead - James 2:17) Our Catholic brothers and sisters are led to believe any method we chose to worshiping God is acceptable, but remember what the scripture says here at 2 Timothy 2:5 - “If anyone is competing in athletics he isn’t crown unless he competes by the rules” It is essential to obey God rather than any human authority." Acts 5:29 Also in 2 Thessalonians 2: 3-5, the man of lawlessness is exposed thus: “...he will oppose and exalt himself above every god or object of worship. So he will seat himself in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.” NASB. In my opinion, this refers to the papacy.
Catholicism is a TRUE religion. The Church teaches nothing but truth. She teaches, nurtures and protects her children from the lies of the evil one. Catholics are SAVED, specifically because we are baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.
The first part of this question Is Catholicism a false religion? My answer is YES! Catholicism is a term which refers to a body of belief and practices which is also known as Romanism. I do think it is a false religion for the following reasons: 1. All religions are false. A religion is Man’s way to the Creator whose name is ALHYM (Ge1:1 Hebrew), which involves salvation solely by doing prescribed actions of that religion. Christianity is not a religion, as the answer to getting to ALHYM, the Father is by following Christ (Jo 14:6). Pure Christianity involves having the living Christ dwell in our temple, the body and manifesting His life in each disciple who obey His commands, words. He, through the Holy Spirit controls a disciple since each disciple has been redeemed, purchased by His blood (1 Cor 6:19-20). 2. Romanism is pseudo Christianity because it is essentially paganism dressed-up in “Christian clothes” with words taken from the Bible and moulded into their pattern of thinking and actions which contradicts the words of the New Covenant. For example: Rome switched the original Greek word Ekklesia for the word Church. It has deliberately mistranslated the original Greek in Matthew 16:18 to justify its own existence so that it reads: “You are Peter and on this rock I will build my Church. The original Greek does not say anything close to this. (see http://www.scripture4all.org/OnlineInterlinear/Greek_Index.htm); The Catholics have also mistranslated Ekklesia into Church, or “number” or “congregation” (Acts 2:47 Greek mentions Ekklesia). The word Ekklesia occurs 111 times in the New Covenant, not Church; Nowhere in the New Covenant is there a division of believers into priestly class and non-priests, “Laity”. The New Covenant teaches a priesthood of all believers (1 Pe 2:9); Rome, under Emperor Constantine changed the Sabbath rest day to SUNday worship of the ancient sun god Ra in the early AD 300’s, and began the building of Church buildings; Rome named of the days of the week, and months of the year to the names of demons (gods) and even changed the moon based Hebrew calendar to a Sun based one in honour of Ra, and Zeus; Rome instigated the veneration of Mary, and made its special people after they died into “Saints” when all true followers, disciples of Christ are “saints”, those who are holy (Grk “hagio” Eph 1:1; Col 1:2). Such actions by Rome are consistent with autocrats, dictators and facists who manipulate language to brainwash the population; Rome used an image of Zeus for Christ– this was agreed to by the church in the Western and Eastern Roman Empire sometime after 475 when the statue of Zeus was destroyed in a great fire which razed the capital Constantinople (see Edward Norman (2007) p17 “The Roman Catholic Church – an illustrated history”). It took them about 1,136 years to change Christ’s first name, spelled in Greek “iEsou, iEsoun, iEsous” to Jesus which in Latin means “That is Zeus”. The Latin "id est," abbreviated i.e. means “That is,” may also be written in Latin as the letter "J" and "e." The “sus” of Jesus, means pig or Zeus. Jesus was standardised in a later edition of the 1611 King James Bible and has been in common use ever since then. The name Petros (Mt 16:18) which means little rock or pebble, was a name given to Simon bar Jonas by Christ. Rome changed Petros to "Peter" which means "Father", derived from the ancient name Dyeus-Peter an alias of Satan which means "Sky shining-Father" - referencing Lucifer (Isa 14:12-21; Ez 28: 11-19), who became "the great dragon..., that serpent of old, called the Devil, and Satan who deceives the whole world" (Rev 12: 9). Satan set up pagan temples for men to worship him, then the church system by the end of the first century which Christ called a "synagogue of Satan" (Rev 2:9, 3:9). It blossomed out to be the state Church of Rome in 391 AD. Rome has always worshipped Zeus, aka Jupiter. Lawrence NZ
