Matt 18:19-20: This Scripture has interested me because of the number of preachers I have heard quote this prior to praying - which makes it sound like there must be 2 or 3 gathered in order to have effective prayer. In fact, it is being taken out of context every time people say this. We know that Scripture also says that the earnest prayer of a righteous person can avail much. Also, we know that The Holy Spirit lives in each of us, and Jesus said He would never leave us orphans.
