According to 2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" There are two Greek words which are translated "new" in the Bible. The first, ne...

Who am I [are we] in Christ?

I am the adopted child of God. The Lord God Almighty is my Daddy. I can spend time with him whenever I want and I always have his undivided attention. He watches over my life 24/7. Whenever I need anything, according to his will, all I have to do is ask and I have what I need.

I am the "best friend" of Jesus Christ [so is every other believer]. He walks through life with me 24/7. We work together, play together and have lots of adventures together. He is showing me how to make the most of my life.

I am the student of the Holy Spirit. He is my mentor. He is the wisest person who every lived and he is my resident teacher 24/7. He lives in me to counsel me in the ways of kingdom life, to lead, guide, train and equip me to accomplish everything that my heavenly Father has planned for my life.

I hold the bread of life. Jesus has given me his gospel message to share with everyone who wants to partake so they can receive the gift of eternal life.

I am an ambassador of Christ. I have the great privilege of explaining to people I meet what life is like in the kingdom of God. Jesus has given me lots of invitations to hand out for his incredible feast that is coming at the end of this age.

I have all authority through the name of Jesus Christ to combat the forces of evil that seek to stop the kingdom of God from growing. I have all power through the presence of the Holy Spirit in me to withstand every evil attack and to forcefully advance the Kingdom of God through the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God.

I am filled 24/7 with the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. All I have to do is live by faith and walk with the Holy Spirit.

I am a stranger on this earth because heaven is my home. I have a mansion waiting for me there and Jesus is coming back to get me. He is going to reward my faithfulness and give me a position to reign with him in his 1,000 year kingdom on earth.

I am so looking forward to spending eternity in the new Heaven and Earth that Jesus will create for all believers. I can't imagine how amazing it will be in the awesome presence of Father, Son and Spirit for every moment of forever.

There is an invitation waiting with your name on it. How will you respond?

Romans 8:17 "Now if we are children, then we are heirs - heirs of God and coheirs with Christ, if indeed we share in His sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."

His redemption was finished on the cross. However, in Christ, we are co-heirs and builders of the Kingdom.

In Christ, I am chosen (which Michael mentioned), and I base this claim on Ephesians 1:4, 6 "He hath chosen us in him... to the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved."

In Christ, I am holy (also mentioned by Michael), but I base my conclusion on Colossians 1:21-22 "Yet now hath he reconciled in the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight."

In Christ, I am righteous according to 2 Corinthians 5:20-21 which says, "Be ye reconciled to God. For He [God] hath made Him [Christ] to be sin for us, who [Christ] knew no sin,
that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him [in Christ]."

In Christ, I am justified (Michael said this, too), and I support my claim on Romans 5:1 which reads, "Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus
Christ."

Finally, in Christ, I am represented because Christ represents me as my Representative (Romans 8:34). The King James Version says, "Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us."
