I received a Word from a Prophet a couple of months ago which addressed this question.
The Lord explained that the Holocaust was necessary for the establishment of Israel.
Without the holocaust, The Balfour Declaration of 2 November 1917 would not have lead to the successful adoption on 29 November 1947, of the United Nations General Assembly's plan to establish Israel on the 14 May 1948.
