The one thing God cannot do is accept His Son as Lord and Savior of your life. He gave us a Free Will to choose between good and evil and to know the Truth, the Way and the Life, but this is the one thing you have to decide for your self. You have to decide who you will follow and all through the Bible He reveals Himself through His Son, Jesus Christ. The only Way to Him, is His Son Jesus Christ. Denomination, Peter, Mary. The Pope, your Minister, your teacher or any other considered Saints by Humans cannot save you. God came to Earth as a baby, He lived among us and showed us the Way to Him. He was rejected as he made the Original Sin in the Garden right and now through His Son we can again have Eternal Life. Jesus Christ is the only Salvation for you and me and for the World. Learn about God as the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are One Almighty God. The choice is yours, so chose wisely where you will spend Eternity.

I would like to add 2 things that I thought that God cannot do: 1. God’s purpose and power cannot be stopped. “And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and He doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?” (Daniel 4:35). [See also. "All … as nothing" —(Is 40:15, 17). “according to his will in … heaven” (Ps 115:3; 135:6; Mt 6:10; Eph 1:11). “army” —the heavenly hosts, angels, and starry orbs (compare Is 24:21). “none … stay his hand” —literally, “strike His hand.” Image from striking the hand of another, to check him in doing anything (Is 43:13; 45:9). “What doest thou” —(Job 9:12; Ro 9:20).] Aren’t you awed that God cannot be thwarted, deceived, or overthrown? 2. God cannot stand sin. “But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2). 59:2 “iniquities have been barriers” Sin strains Israel’s relationship with God to the point of total separation. Israel’s actions required the separation—it was not what God wanted. “have hidden his face” -- Symbolizes a break in communication and a denial of physical presence. People hid their faces from the servant in Isa 53:3 as a sign of rejection. Here, ironically, the Lord is forced to turn His face away from them because He cannot look on sin (Hab 1:13). Aren’t you thankful that Jesus Christ came and paid your eternal death penalty for you, as your substitute? Have you asked Him to become your PERSONAL Savior? He's waiting for you to do so.

This question was merged with another, Can God do evil. God created evil. What a shock! Isa 45:7, I create all these things! Evil here is raw-ah means to break down into pieces, to make good for nothing. So if God created this, then He had a purpose for it. Jesus instructed us to pray to the Father "Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from EVIL" Most just assume this is Satan himself. However, a closer look at this reveals Evil is that Breaking Power of God to Break things in our life that is not like His Son! When our forefather Adam the first sinned, and partook of the Tree of Good and EVIL, instead of the gods that Satan had promised, they became hardened encrusted walls of defiance to the Will of God. No longer were they soft, pliable, useful tools in the Master's hands rather they had become bitter, nasty and afraid. What an inheritance~!~ As God draws us back to Him, He must break down the walls of angry defiance, appeal to the old fool that sits on the throne in our heart and declare final victory over us! Every single Christian is Blood bought,work in progress! As long as you are still breathing, there is still hope. God cannot go back on His Word, He can not tell a lie. God can not FAIL! This is a very important question. God is sovereign and there is nothing he cannot do. And no one can nor should question him. Paul wrote, "all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"(Rom. 3:23). Yet, while no one is "perfect", God declared Job as "perfect and upright man" (Job 1:8, And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?). This was repeated in Job 2:3. Moreover, God said: ""Come now, let us settle the matter," says the LORD. "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool."(Isa. 1:18 NIV) "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.…"(Ps. 103:11-13) The principle that is expressed here is that only God defines "good and evil", when and whether one is a sinner or not. He can do whatever he wants. No one can "debate or argue" with God. Nothing that "we" think and define as "evil" is in fact evil if God did so. God is "above" any of the Ten Commandments. These are commandments given for humans. I Tim.1:8-10, "But we know that the Law is good, if one uses it lawfully, realizing the fact that law is not made for a righteous person, but for those who are lawless and rebellious, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and profane, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers and immoral men and homosexuals and kidnappers and liars and perjurers, and whatever else is contrary to sound teaching," Notice, that if the Law is not for the righteous, all the more it is not for God. Eccl. 12:3 "Now all has been heard; here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind." Notice, for "mankind", not for God. Indeed, God is sovereign and our "thoughts are not his thoughts"(Isa. 55:8).

"With God all things are possible" is the Ohio state motto. Matthew 19:26 The full statement by Jesus our Christ was: "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." The question asked of Jesus in verse 19:25 was: "Who then can be saved?" by his disciples. This discourse followed Jesus conversation with the rich young ruler, who was bold enough to say to Jesus since he was born that he had obeyed all the commandments. No one ever considers the fact that he was saying that he was self-righteous in his own eyes, but Jesus never judged him for his ignorance and arrogance because he showed Jesus respect and he recognized that Jesus was good. This was a problem with the Sadducees and the Pharisees, for they also believed in their self-righteousness due to their heritage, sectarianism, and rituals. But they never honored or respected Jesus for his goodness or good works. Sometimes we forget that mercy and grace save us, not our acts of obedience, because we are but sinners saved by grace, and because we have accepted the atonement of our Lord and blessed savior forever, amen. Our acts of righteousness are but filthy rags. His righteousness has to become our righteousness by faith. He leads us in the path of righteousness for His name's sake. Without this faith in Jesus Christ's atonement our religion is in vain. Never forget the name of Jesus. It's only through his name that our righteousness was accomplished by his being a sinless man, sacrificed for our sins.

This question is a variation of the atheists God paradox. If God can do anything can he create a rock He cannot lift and if He cannot lift it, it proves He cannot do anything there for is not God. God is a spirit and they who worship Him must worship in spirit and in truth. As Michael points out he can do anything but stop being the holy creator, as it is His character and nature. As for the question my answer is this: God has chosen the foolish things to confound the wise and the wisdom of man is foolishness with God. The question was created to undermine faith and confidence in God and I will not dwell on things that do not edify. Call me foolish, ignorant unlearned but I am His and He is mine; let that which is evil be evil and that which is righteous be righteous. It is fruitless train of thought that non-believers will refuse any answer to. Maranatha
