Michael answers this very well, and and I would only augment it with:

God gave Moses the Genesis account of creation, I believe to set the record straight, because of embellishments and creative license in storytelling. Basic things in common in the Lilith story 1st women, rebellion, Satan's influence and rejection.

You will find the same type of similarities in the epic tale of Gilgamesh found on Sumerian tablets. Most cultures had few mass educated forms of writing and the average person communicated by story tellers. Historical correctness was not the exact purpose, but some cultural or moral lesson.

God set the record straight for creation with the books of Moses. When stories are crossing cultural lines and language barriers there are changes.

Some words convey concepts and principles of thought that do translate well, kind of like you need to have the same environmental influences to come to the same shared understanding. Time can change word meaning and usage. Look at the word gay. It has quite a different meaning than 50 years ago.
