The word 'jealousy' has another meaning as well, as is clear from the following verses of the Holy Bible:- "A husband is never angrier than when he is jealous; his revenge knows no limit. He will not accept any payment; no amount of gifts will satisfy his anger" (Proverbs 6:34 & 35 Good News Bible). In other words "Jealousy is the rage of man". This jealousy arises when a man becomes a cuckold and he come to know of the infidelity of his wife.

What does the Bible say about jealousy? TLB Galatians 5:20 the Living Bible

Galatians 5:19-21 Living Bible (TLB)
19 "when you follow your own wrong inclinations, your lives will produce these evil results: impure thoughts, eagerness for lustful pleasure, 20 idolatry, spiritism (that is, encouraging the activity of demons), hatred and fighting, jealousy and anger, constant effort to get the best for yourself, complaints and criticisms, the feeling that everyone else is wrong except those in your own little group—and there will be wrong doctrine, 21 envy, murder, drunkenness, wild parties, and all that sort of thing. Let me tell you again, as I have before, that anyone living that sort of life will not inherit the Kingdom of God."

Once, a female coworker of mine fretted to me about her niece who had a problem with jealousy. I had just read the Living Bible New Testament verse, Galatians 5:19-21 TLB, in my pocket testament. So I brought it into work and showed her, even writing it out for her, I think I did, anyway. When she got to the part about the person living a life of jealousy "will not inherit the Kingdom of God," and I told her to share that with her niece, well, that was the last I heard from this female coworker.
