Blood is mentioned in the Bible not less than 400 times.

Vampire legends may have originated with the nephilum. Genesis 6:4 and Numbers 13:33.

Genesis 9:4 says that the life is in the blood. Genesis 9:5: God will demand a reckoning for man's blood.

Leviticus 4: the sin offering was a blood offering.

Deuteronomy 12:16 speaks of eating any meat you desire, but warns that you shall not eat the blood.

Matthew 26: Jesus celebrated passover with His disciples and declared, "Drink from it all of you, for this is My blood of the new covenant; which is shed for many for the remission of sins." Perhaps this is where the vampire fantasy started?

However, Jesus’ blood offers life eternal!

A vampire is the polar opposite of Jesus! The vampire sheds blood, so that he can have eternal life for himself.

Jesus shed His precious blood on Calvary to atone for the sins of others. Jesus’ shed blood provides living water to quench thirst forever!

A vampire's eternal life is a cheap imitation of life. It is a life fleeing from light and prowling around for a victim. The thirst is never quenched. It is a life spent in a dark world.

The world of the occult uses blood to seal oaths.

There is a thin blood line that runs from cover to cover in the Bible. It is the story of Jesus Christ.

In Jesus there is no darkness! Jesus willingly sacrificed His life for any who will receive Him. His blood was given to God for the eternal redemption of you and me. Hebrews 9:11 - 28

Acts 15:18 - 21: we are to learn from scripture about God and things to abstain from. Blood is on the list.

Revelation 21:23: there is no darkness in the New Jerusalem. The Lamb is light! He will radiate glory from God!
