So the question "Does God have His own choice for us in terms of a mate?" has no answers or comments. I was hoping for one or more. It is an interesting question. It leads to another: if the answer is yes, how do we know for sure when His choice presents itself? Truly how do we know His will when it involves another and does God ever choose in such a thing? Surely once made He respects our choices.

I can only speak from my own personal experience. I prayed and trusted God to bring me to the right woman for me. I busied myself with God's work and was patient that eventually that special someone would come along..and she did.

When the light goes on, and you really know down deep that she's the one, then no one can change your mind. It's kid of like being saved. You just know you're saved. There's no doubt whatsoever.

Is there a special someone hand-picked for you? Yes, I believe so. My wife is my ultimate compliment and help-mate. She completes me perfectly.

Patience and keeping oneself out of temptation is the key though. Don't go to bars or places where sinlge women hang out. They are there for a reason and it's usually not good.

Wait on God and know that when she comes...you'll know it!

This question comes up over and over, hoping to hear a different answer. Bottom line is, "Sex outside of marriage is not acceptable before God". I believe this is Biblical.

It is wrong but not because it is a sin. It is wrong because it will create a bad report among religious Christians.

The word fornication is mistranslated as sex before marriage. It comes from the greek word porneia which the translators called fornication. We get the word pornography from the greek word porneia. The Catholic church then made the definition of fornication to be sex before marriage. Tell me do you rreally think that they had a problem with sex before marriage in Jesus' day? Marriages were betrothed and the average age of married couples was 12 years old.

If you're living with the woman that you intend to marry. I would say marry her asap for your reputation if nothing else.

If you are living with a woman just to have sex your sinning and in the flesh. A Christian living this way is in danger of serious chastisement from God. God will not fool around with you either. Our God is a consuming fire.
