There is currently a lot of debate over the validity of creationism, defined as "the belief that the universe and living organisms originate from specific acts of divine creation, as in the biblica...

A major question is: Who invented science?
Answer: It was God.

Can we prove Creation scientifically--that is, hard data that can be replicated?

Since we do not have the data, that is something that still awaits--and most likely will continue to be a mystery until we reach eternity. And it makes little sense to struggle over the question of proof, or the inner workings of His methods--because there is no way to know that. He spoke Creation into existence--, "As it is written, 'I have made you the father of many nations'—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist." (Romans 4:17) ESV

Can we prove evolution scientifically?
Answer: Hardly. There are so many holes in that notion, one might well be better off trying to outline a plan enabling pigs to fly.

But take heart! When we reach eternity, all of these mysteries will be open to us. The Bible tells us so.. "For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light." (Luke 8:17) ESV

The question is basically "Is God directed creation scientifically plausible?" Lets review the data.
1. People age and eventually die because they accrue mutations over their lifetime. If they mutate rapidly then they die earlier (Progeria) and vice versa. Adam was mutation free when he left Eden and that is why he and his ancestors lived lives in excess of 900 years and why one could have close relative intermarrying. Over time, as the mutations increased life spans slowly decreased and God forbade close relative intermarrying.
2. God created everything after its own kind such as dogs, cats, hippos, pineapples, mankind etc. And we see that today. We see variations in each kind but they are still cats, dogs etc. Natural selection cannot give rise to new kinds but it is more a culling force. For example it allows hairy dogs to survive in cold climates.
3. Fossil evidence say no to evolution as there are no intermediate fossil indicating change from one kind to another (eg reptiles to birds). It s well known in biology that DNA doesn't add or increase information over time allowing one kind to change to another. In fact it loses information (called mutations).
4. Geological sediments around the world indicate a world wide flood. In fact I recently met a Professor of Geology specializing in sediments who came to the Lord through this finding.
5. Only a God not constrained by time could have created this huge universe. It is highly unlikely that nothing could have made this universe via a big bang.
6. Through genealogies, the Bible indicates that this world is about 6,000 years old. In contrast, Darwinists/evolutionists claim that it is millions/billions of years old. However the presence of the relatively short half file (5,700 years) radioisotope carbon-14 present in fossils, oil, diamonds would confirm an earth thousands of years old. Radioisotopes of long billion year half lives are unreliable for determining the age of rocks without knowing the starting parent/daughter isotope ratios.
7. The finding of protein and cells in T Rex bones would indicate these animals were around hundreds and not 65 million years ago.

In short the Bible and scientific findings concur with one another which is not surprising since the Bible is absolute truth having been inspired the Holy Spirit.

*Long road to answer this question;-)*

On a certain level, science involves asking where things come from or how things came to be. As such, one can ask where did a particular animal come from. (It came from its parents.) Where did the parents come from? (They came from their parents.) You could follow this all the way back to where the universe began. If you believe that the universe began as an incredibly dense ball of matter that exploded, setting in motion the sequence that would lead to what we see today, I would ask, "Where did that ball of matter come from and how long did it exist before exploding? "

Science, as we understand things today, tells us that everything came from something. Matter doesn't just appear from nowhere. So where did we come from? If science is based on understanding the natural world, there is no way of knowing anything about the beginning of everything because it defies logic. Some scientists say the universe is 13.7 billion years old. How can they say that if they can't answer what was before the Big Bang? Some say time didn't exist until the Big Bang but that defies logic as well.

Even if you believe in the Big Bang, which I don't, you have to answer the question of where that ball of matter came from. Could it be that for creation to exist there had to be a Creator? If there is a Creator, He has to exist outside of time, space, and matter. This defies "conventional" science so in one respect you could say that creationism is not scientific because it defies human logic.

"Science is the pursuit of knowledge and understanding of the natural and social world following a systematic methodology based on evidence."- from Britain's Science Council.

The new definition focuses on the pursuit of knowledge rather than established knowledge. Although I beleive the power of God, it still frustrates me not having explanations of miracles. Angels manifest among humans, but still we don't know how they do it. I wonder why God doesn't want to share some information regarding such "technology". Christians with scientific curiosity are left in the dark and have no alternative than to follow the secular flock.
