I have heard that having sex creates soul ties with the people you have sex with. Don't these soul ties need to be broken? I think I would want that for my husband when I get married, if he is not a virgin. Also, I heard someone say at a church conference I went to that when you have sex outside of marriage, that person's seed is planted in you. Then when you get married & have sex with your spouse you will find yourself comparing your spouse to other people you've been with. Is this true? Doesn't a person who has had sex before marriage need to go through some kind of purification process to have the soul ties to other people he/she has been with, especially if he/she is marrying a virgin? Just need some clarification!

Abiding in Christ is a purification process. Certainly, pre-marital sex does create emotional ties, even deep bonds with other people. It also can have a devastating affect on self-esteem, on one's views on love, on one's relationship with their future spouse, etc.

However, there is no ritual purification one needs to go through, outside of Christ.
Someone that has had sex before marriage should repent and seek restoration in Christ, and accountability with other believers. This is not a specific checklist or ritual of purification, however.

Indeed, everyone should examine themselves. Is a woman comparing her fiancee to characters in romance novels? Is a man comparing his fiancee to his latest celebrity crush? Is a wife comparing her husband to the pastor? Is a husband comparing his wife to a co-worker? Are we judging potential people for marriage not based on their own character and love of God, but how a physical trait or personality quirk compares to someone else's?

What matters is that we view our past sins rightly, through the eyes of God; repent, and follow Christ.

You see, God’s forgiveness is like His love. His love has no boundaries, so His forgiveness covers every kind of sin.
