From my youth I have always played and enjoyed sports. We all have many different activities that we enjoy. As long as christians keep their priorities in order there is nothing wrong with watching or participating in sports.

Personally I don't spend much money on sports, I don't go to ballgames, or buy materials that they sell. True there are bad examples from those that are athletes, but that is true in any career. The apostle Paul used several illustrations concerning sports (wrestling, running a marathon) to get his point across.

I enjoy watching a good ballgame after church on Sunday. I remember growing up Disney came on Sunday nights, and I very seldom saw it because I was in church.

I even heard a good joke about whether or not there is baseball in heaven. Two men were discussing the issue, and decided the first one that died would let the other one know if there was baseball in heaven. In time one of the two men died and within a year he came back to tell his friend, I have good news and I have bad new, the good news is there is baseball in heaven, the bad news is that you're in the line-up to pitch tomorrow.
Thanks Phillip
