Are many practices and traditions in Christianity actually pagan in origin?

Christianity is a "faith." Faiths have ways of living. In Christianity that is very simple. Love yourself for who you are and love your neighbors for who they are. Groups who have traditions are "religions" and must never be confused with "faith."

I am a Christian agnostic by faith if accused of being religious I laugh!
