Typically, there are at least two inherent flaws when this question is asked. First, in the United States, and surely other nations, many seek to demonize those with whom they disagree politically....

President Obama is a self-avowed Christian; he prays; he attends Church; and he seeks Biblical counsel. 1 John says we are to support our brothers, and even should some of President Obama's political decisions offend, then let us forgive those actions as Jesus' prayer, recorded in Matthew, would have us do: "...and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors." Paul exhorts in numerous passages that we are to respect the authorities. And this authority of whom we speak, President Obama, is a Christian to boot.

Though I can't say that I believe that he is the antichrist, I will say that it is possible. I have seen video where he claims to be a Christian and video where he admits to being a Muslim. That seems to fit end times scenario of one world religion. If he is, then a number of future events will take place that will help reveal it to those who watch though even those events may be cloaked in deception.

One interesting note that I read somewhere but have checked out on my own is an interesting interpretation of Luke 10:18. The writer pointed out that Jesus most likely spoke Aramaic and not Greek. Therefore if we look up the words that he actually spoke(translated "I saw Satan fall as lightning from heaven (or the heights)) in Luke 10:18, we would need to look up the Aramaic equivalent of these Greek words. If we look up lightning in Strongs from the book of Isaiah we find the word baraq which is pronounced baw-rawk. The word for from is simply "o" and the word heaven or heights is Bamah pronounced baw-mah. Therefore it is at least conceivable that Jesus phonetically said "I saw Satan fall as barak o Bamah." or actually the Aramaic equivalent of "I saw Satan fall" followed by baraq o bamah.

The only real reason that I would even consider any of the above is that I feel there had to be some supernatural help for him to ever be elected in the first place. I actually said back then there was no way possible that a man named Barrack Hussein Obama with at least a Muslim back ground if not Muslim who attended a church which preached anti US government teachings could ever be elected as president if the United States. In his name were the name Hussein one of America's biggest enemies and another name Obama that sounds all too much like our other biggest enemy at that time (Osama bin Laden). In addition, he had almost zero political experience which again was almost unheard of at the time. Yet he won. So regardless of whether he is or is not the antichrist, I believe his terms (which include huge gains for the gay/lesbian movements, massive debt, and racial tensions) have been a judgement on America and his election supernaturally inspired. America needs repentance as a nation as well as do we all as individuals.

First Read all of 2 Thessalonians Chapter 2 then consider verses 6-7. "And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time. For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way." I understand "what withholdeth" is the restraining power of the Holy Spirit. "he who now letteth... and he be taken out of the way" is speaking of the Holy Spirit's actual presence. As a premillennial Christian believer who is indwelled by the Holy Spirit, I do not believe the man of sin will actually be revealed until after the rapture. I.e. all truly saved will be gone.

Mr. Obama? Who knows what he is? Muslim? There's certainly a lot he promotes, supports and condones that would indicate to me he isn't Christian according to my Bible. However, consider Romans 13:1-2 "Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."
You see, God is sovereign. He's in control of everything and in the process of fulfilling His divine plan according to His will and time schedule.

In my view the antichrist is one who is against Christ. I submit that the antichrist is not a person but an institution. The leader of this institution is obviously the devil and those that follow him with full knowledge or out of deception then form the whole institution of antichrist. If you read Revelations carefully you will notice that the kind of things attributable to the antichrist cannot possibly be the works of one man. It is actually a system that gets its powers (and wisdom) from the devil.

Again when I think about it further, it seems to me that the antichrist will not be obvious to everybody. It will be a system that on the surface actually appears as the real Christ institution but on closer examination it actually is against Christ.

That is why there is warning, to be careful. I always consider that an avarage Christian loves God and wants to do that which is right. To have an openly antichrist programme will not fool anybody! Therefore for the antichrist system to be successful, it has to be a wolf in sheep clothing! It will set out to deceive those that are not careful or who do not read scriptures. The deception will be so close to the truth that even the very elect will find it hard to distinguish between the two.
So is Barack Obama the antichrist? The answer is we do not know that answer. We can only tell by the fruit he produces.

But more seriously I think we are looking on the wrong place! As stated above it has nothing to do with a person but a whole system or institution. Let us all pray to God to help us understand more His word and open our eyes to see the deceptions of the enemy. Nothing will protect us against the antichrist apart from prayer and the Word of God.

For centuries Christians have speculated about the identity of Antichrist. Likely candidates have included princes and popes of the past as well as potentates and presidents in the present. Rather than joining the sensationalistic game of pin–the–tail–on–the–Antichrist, Christians need only go to Scripture to find the answer. First, the apostle John exposed the identity of Antichrist when he wrote, “Who is the liar? It is the man who denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a man is the antichrist––he denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also” (1 John 2:22). In his second epistle, John gives a similar warning: “Many deceivers, who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh, have gone out into the world. Any such person is the deceiver and the antichrist” (v. 7). Furthermore, John taught that all who deny the incarnation, messianic role, and deity of Jesus are instances of antichrist. As such the term “antichrist” refers not only to the apostasy of individuals but to the apostasy of institutions and ideologies as well. In this sense, institutions such as modern–day cults and world religions as well as ideologies such as evolutionism and communism can rightly be considered antichrist. Finally, in the book of Revelation, John identifies both an individual and an institution that represent the ultimate personification of evil—the archetypal antichrist. He refers to this archetypal antichrist as “a beast who deceived the inhabitants of the earth” (Revelation 13:14). Drawing on Daniel’s apocalyptic depiction of evil world powers (Revelation 13; cf. Daniel 7–8), John describes an emperor in his own epoch of time who arrogantly sets himself and his empire against God (13:5–6), violently persecuting the saints (13:7), and grossly violating the commandments through a long litany of disgusting demonstrations of depravity, not the least of which was his demand to be worshiped as Lord and God (13:8, 15).
--Hank Hanegraaff | The Complete Bible Answer Book

“Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.”
--1 John 2:18–19

Is Obama an anti-Christ? Does he live according to Christian principles, does he support Christian principles? You decide, but I certainly would put him in the camp with anti-Christers. That is based on his actions and I will name just one that he supports because it IS anti-Christian. That is his support of abortion which is murder. There are others that I could mention, but this makes the point.

This is the definition of an anti-Christ. Anyone who is against is anti and Christ is our savior. So, that equals anyone who is against Christ as stated in 1John 2:18-23, 4:3 and 2 John 7.

They came out of the woodwork in Christ's time and we have them continually up to our day. Anyone who denies Christ or teaches another gospel other than the one Christ taught are anti-Christ. There are plenty of those that profess to be teaching God's word when they are not, putting in danger those that follow them. That is why we are to study scriptures daily to see if they are following God's word. The responsibility lies with us.

President Barack Obama is not the anti-Christ. The anti-Christ is supposed to be one who wants to rule the world not just pull the United States up from the depression we were in in 2008. President Obama is a Christian even though his former pastor was radicalized and felt the United States government was not supporting the Black community in Chicago and other parts of the country. When President Obama entered the run for president he had to disavow his pastor and leave his Church in order to be acceptable to all of America not just the African Americans. He still prays, still attends Church and worships God. That does not make him the anti-Christ.

While I don't agree with same sex marriage which is not Biblical, those individuals are still a segment of the United States of America and the President has to be president of all the people and not just those who proclaim to be Christian. This does not make him the anti-Christ. President Obama has to consider the rights of all the people in this country even the Muslims and the Hindu, and the Buddhist, and all of the other religions practiced here in this country. That does not make him the anti-Christ.

Christ never rejected someone because of their race, or national origin, he embraced them all. But the Bible is right all that call on His name are not indeed His. There are wolves in sheep clothing. Those that claim to be Christian and use Christian principles to justify segregation are not indeed following the teachings of Jesus Christ. Are they the anti-Christ? Those that claim to be Christians and burn the cross and cover their bodies with white and black sheets, are they the anti-Christ?

President Obama is not the anti-Christ and is not a president of exclusion but he has done his best to include all of America and form a more united nation. If you want to consider a politician as being an anti-Christ look at the hatred in congress and the leaders there. Don't stop there as many television evangelist have also promoted division and used the Bible to justify their actions, are they the anti-Christ?

Again the President of the United States is not the anti-Christ.

Absolutely not. The Bible set no precedence anywhere in any of its 66 books for an "Antichrist" let alone any single man being such. The word most often associated with the book of Revelation and its events is never ever stated or mention; for anyone to say that the book evidences such a person is presupposition and the imposing of myth and fantasy upon the holy scriptures! The word is only mentioned in in 1 John 2:18 & 22; 1 John 4:3 and 2 John 7.
In context - 1 John states the "antichrist" in plural and as being present in the 1st century in John's lifetime. 2 John gives the definition of what an antichrist is and in context dose not point to any specific person in John's day, ours or the future.

Pres. Obama is not, for the following reasons:
1. An "anti-Christ is not "against" but rather "claims" to be Christ. POTUS has never claimed to be Christ
2. This is an end-time event after the 3rd Temple in Jerusalem has been built and "red heifer is available; they are still future.
3. This person will suffer "a deadly wound" and survived; the current POTUS has not although Pres. Reagan had and survived but no one would equate him to be this "evil one".
4. This "substitute Christ" will be the one to replace "3 that were fallen" of the "ten toes", and "head" the remaining "7 toes" who are all "kings" or "heads". This person was the 7th head of the "Beast", yet also the "8th head". Our current POTUS does not qualify.

This person will be revealed, no urgency to guess at this time.

I recommend raptureless.com as a resource to resolve this issue. Josephus recorded the events of this time. Reading his eye witness account reveals the truth of our Lord's prediction that all these things would be fulfilled within one generation of His death. He was not being mysterious or confusing. He answered the questions asked by the disciples.

The beast was the Roman empire. The man of lawlessness was John Levi, a Jewish leader in the rebellion who physically set himself up in the temple claiming to be god, stopped the sacrifices etc.

Fact: one knows when Christ will return and anyone who says they do are either missguided or delusional, in my opinion. End times began the moment Christ took his last breath on the cross, and we have been waiting ever since for his return.

Only God knows the moment and the hour when he will return and when the anti-Christ will dwell amoung us. I’m not saying it’s against all possibility; he is already in the world but I know this: we will know for sure when he has arrived.

In my opinion, those who point to Obama being the anti-Christ are as off on this as those who have called Trump a prophet. I trust in God to let us know in his way when he chooses the time. And until then we live as best we can, abiding by God’s laws.
