The Bible is clear that is not going to be another one-world order, government or currency. Although it have been tried many time, an united world government has failed. Through marriage, alliances, and treaties, men have vainly attempted to reunite the European continent. Charlemagne, Napoleon, Kaiser Wilhelm, and Hitler have tried to build a new European empire but all failed, Revelation 13 tells us there will be another attempt to establish a universal religion, but Daniel's prophecy clearly states that the world will remain politically divided for the rest of Earth's history.

In Daniel 2, Nebuchadnezzar has a dream and Daniel is able to give the king an accurate interpretation, and for us a clear representation of the past, present and future events. 

The image from the king's dream has the following meaning: The head of gold represented Babylon, which was the ruling world power from 612 to 539 B.C.

The chest of silver represented Medo-Persia, the ruling world empire from
539 to 331 B.C.

The bronze represented Greece, the dominant world ruler from 331 to 168 B.C

The legs of iron represented Rome, which enjoyed world supremacy from 168 B.C. to A.D. 476.

The feet, partly iron and partly clay represented a divided empire that would not cleave together. When the Roman Empire began to crumble in A.D. 476, it was overtaken by barbarian tribes which conquered the Roman Empire and divided it just as Daniel prophesied. 

Ten of these tribes evolved into modern Europe. They were the Ostrogoths, Visigoths, Franks, Vandals, Alemannians, Sueves, Anglo-Saxons, Heruls, Lombards, and Burgundians. Seven of them still exist today in Europe. For example, the Anglo-Saxons became the English, the Franks became the French, the Alemannians became the Germans, and the Lombards became the Italians. 

No single power ruled the word since A.D. 476, and it will remain divided until Christ’s return which is represented by the "stone cut out without hands" (Daniel 2:34-35) and Christ’s Eternal Kingdom, His Word, and His Law (Matthew 21:42, Matthew 25:31-34).

In Rev 13:2 it is said of the10-horned beast "...and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority." The power of the dragon extended "over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations." (Rev 13:7). Many writers have concluded that the dragon will have complete control of the globe and give this power to the 10-horned beast. 

For a similar situation go to Dan 2:37-8 "Thou, O King, art a king of kings: for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom, power and strength, and glory, And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold."

The empire of Babylon turned out to be smallest of the Assyrian, the Persian, or any succeeding empire, yet God gave Nebuchadnezzar full power over all men, beasts and fowls. Why didn't he conquer as much land as possible? Because he himself was proven unworthy of the honor of ruling a mighty empire (Dan 4:4-33). This empire was short-lived and destroyed within two generations by the Persians.

The dragon (Satan) ranks behind God in total power and so cannot control the entire globe, either physically or spiritually. Only God can do this and he will not give his power to the dragon. If there were complete control by the dragon, then there would be no invasion by the kings of the east (probably by India and the Chinese) (Rev 16:12 and Dan 11:44). The 10-horned beast does conquer much land, but can't conquer the whole world. His wholly demonic nature also precludes voluntary diplomatic agreements granting him authority over all nations on the globe.

There is no prospect for a one-world government based on Biblical scripture. A one-world government would necessitate every nation giving up its sovreignty to a central authority. There is no advantage for nations with large populations to do this. 

It might be possible for all nations to agree to a universal currency, since a number of voluntary agreements already exist, such as the UN and the International Postal Union. However, voluntary agreements do not last for long periods of time. The League of Nations failed early when faced with the aggressive acts of Italy and Germany. Today the UN is regarded as a failing organization.

The image of Daniel doesn't describe world empires. The image only indicates which empires or nations will be ruling over the land of Israel during the times of the Gentiles. These have been up to now, the Babylonian, the Persian, the Greco-Roman, and the Muslim (the longest at over a 1000 years). We are now waiting for the last "empire" to arise, perhaps after WW III.
