From the book of Acts to the rapture of the church is the day of Grace.

Only in this dispensation of grace our sin debt is paid in full, and we can no longer be condemned.

Romans 11:6 ALL grace, no works. If it was by works it would no longer be grace, and if by grace it is no more work.

Eternal Life in the dispensation of grace is free. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE, THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.

The new covenant is grace. Salvation by grace is not according to our works. It is a free gift to all them that believe.

A covenant is an agreement be tween 2 or more. We are not in a covenant as such because we made no agreement with God. He made a promise to us. John 1:28-29. John 3:18. We did nothing but believe on Him for the free gift of eternal life.

Since it is a free gift, we have nothing to boast in. Romans 3:26-28. Acts 16:31. John 6:47. Verily, verily, I say unto you, he that BELIEVETH on me HATH EVERLASTING LIFE.

To believe something is true takes no effort. That is why it is FAITH apart from works. Faith is not a work. Faith is what we believe that saves us. Acts 16:31

Romans 1:16. Jesus did all the saving and we did nothing but believe it.

So the GIFT of God is eternal life. Gods promise to us that if we believe it He gives us eternal life. John 6:40.

John 6:47. A GIFT is paid in full by the giver. A reward is something you earn or work for. The GIFT of God is eternal life. IT is without merit. We did nothing but believe it for the free GIFT of eternal life. Romans 11:6 All grace, what Jesus did for us, apart from any thing we do or do not do.

The only reason I am going to heaven is because Jesus gave me the free gift of eternal life. Jesus paid it all and I paid 0.

His promise to me. John 6:47 He said, if I would place my trust in Him, He would give me as a free gift, eternal life. Since it is eternal life, I can not lose it, or it would not be eternal. The GIFT of God is eternal life. What do you have to do for a GIFT?

Nothing. If we had to do something for it it would no longer be a GIFT but a reward for what ever we did. IF it was a reward for something we do we would have something to boast in.

Grace excludes boasting. You can not boast in free. Romans 3:26-28.

So salvation by grace is not a new covenant, but a promise from God. John 3:18 Believers are no longer condemned to hell, but unbelievers are condemned already because they did not believe on the name of the Son of God.

First John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE.

We know 100% we are going to heaven because it is Gods promise to us. John 6:47. Not temporary life, or probationary life, but eternal life. I have eternal life because God can not lie.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, physical death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord.

I received the free gift 74 years ago and I still have it because it is eternal.
