My humble opinion is that the land of Israel and the city of Jerusalem in particular are very dear to the heart of God, scripture proclaims these simple facts. The apple of God's very eye and His prophetic time clock before our own eyes, if we His people choose to see and hear.(Psalms 76:2; Psalms 134:3) World history of this land through the sands of time from antiquity proclaims that when the Jewish people are in their land it's blessed. (Genesis 12:2) History also proclaims that the nations and people who came against her were destroyed and or cursed by her keeper who does not slumber. (Ezra 6:12) Today the nations of the world dictate to little Israel what she must give and do, the very things these nations would not do themselves! (2 Samuel 24:18; 1 Chronicles 21:22; 1 Chronicles 21:24) I have told you in My Word many times and in many ways, that this people and their land are special to Me.(Psalms 2:6) Choose who you will serve this day, let us choose wisely that which is pleasing to Him. (Genesis 12:3; Genesis 6:8) In the Lord' freedom waiting for the true prince of peace..warrior on

All the nations will gather to destroy Jerusalem/Israel, but they will be destroyed by the Second coming of Jesus Christ at the end of the Tribulation period. Rev 21. Jesus will rein in Jerusalem for 1000 years (the Millinium) at his second coming as the Lion of Judah. During that period all people on earth will have to go to the Holy city of Jerusalem to worship Him. After the Millinium period, Satan will be let loose one more time, before He is cast into the Lake of Fire with the rebellious angels that followed Him, the Demons, the AntiChrist, the Beast and all who rejected Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Rev 21. Gal 4:26; Heb 11:10; Heb 12:22-24. God will create a new Earth and a New Jerusalem, which will come down from Heaven and all believers in His Son, Jesus Christ will live with Him forever more. Rev 22. We pray for Jerusalem because it is God's Holy city and it is the name of the city where we will spend eternity with our Holy God.
