In the follow up, he mentioned the length of a person's hair. The Bible teaches that if a man has long hair, it is a "shame" unto him. And likewise a woman should not pray with her head uncovered. This is not a reference to a veil like many Hindu or Islamic people wear. It is a reference to the length of her hair The Bible often calls a woman's hair her crown of glory. But with all of this said, it should be noted in the day of this writing, men's and women's clothing was very similar. God wanted us to be able to clearly distinguish what is male and female to prevent a host of other sins. At the time of the writing, the major difference in the clothing was the accessories and colors.
